a) can't drink in a theater
b) can't blaze in a theater
dumb ****en idea-if this was the 80's this would be golden but in the age of 60" HDTV ... schaeffer you dumb ****.
I agree , i need my weed during fight night...rather stay and watch on my 50" full HD, and a sack of dutch that's big enough to be a vacuum cleaner attachment
SWEET!!! They're showing it at The Block 5 minutes from my house.
I'm the only fight fan among my friends, but I wouldn't mind going by myself and just chilling out watching 4 good fights. Damn, if they pull this off without excessive crowd violence, it could be a great way to watch big fights.
Earlier today, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer announced that Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez, on September 19, will be available in movie theaters across the nation. Schaefer said this was project that he was working on for a very long time and waited for the right fight to make it happen. Schaefer wanted to bring boxing back to movie theaters. [details]
Oh gawd, this is all they gotta do to seal boxing's death. Advertise a potential snoozefest fight to the younger audience that already can't stand hearing about boxing. I thought it couldn't get worse than "The World Awaits", but after hearing this, I was so ***in wrong.
It's now in movie theaters.........As I said before..... it will be the biggest flop in boxing history!
A runner counterpuncher vs a slow old bulk-up counterpuncher.....what excitement will it bring?
Yup, way to go to get rid of any people we've had lingering on the threads of boxing. Mega advertise a snoozefest. Meanwhile fights that should get proper due never do. Most Pacquiao fights, Cotto fights, heck, remember Pavlik-Miranda? That was fireworks, and it was an undercard with two heavy hitters. Boxing needs better ideas and quick, because it's losing a large audience, although in other countries in may still be strong in their own respective ways. Maybe they get boxing shows twice a week, who knows?
