If Jones beat Hopkins what would it do for his ranking?

Would he take his P4P spot?

No, probably not, you need consistency and Jones just lost to Calzaghe. Maybe he should be in the top ten.

Yeah thats what I figured given his recent bouts not being high profile aside from Calzaghe.

Depending on how he beat Hopkins it could lead to people restoring Jones to the top 5 in overreaction. Although, if he did beat Hopkins convincingly I would be one of those overreacting and saying Jones is back to his old self.

No but it would mean A LOT.

Plus both would prolly retire after.

jones would not take bhop's spot, but he'd be top 5-10 p4p. another quality win against winner of dawson/johnson or adamek, or the winner of the super six tourney would bump rjj up to the top 5.

Nobody can beat Hopkins right now, let alone convincingly. If Roy manages to beat Hopkins convincingly, then that would def put him in top 10 P4P. And I would love for Roy to retire on that win, It would prob be one of top 10 favoritest Boxing matches of all time(if he wins convincingly).

Well I wouldn't say he is unbeatable right now, Kev but he cracks the top 10 if he beats Hopkins in convincing fashion but doesn't necessarily get him B-hop's p4p spot. These p4p rankings are just fans perceptions of fighters not like belts you can win by beating someone.

Roy lost to Tarver people and the Glenn Johnson. Ffs he won't beat an elite fighter again.
