Lacy should hang up them gloves. Hes done. Roy is still pretty good though, not the fighter he once was but still one of the best in his division. He could still beat anyone besides Dawson. But only because the division is not verry good right now.

All Roy Jones proved in the Lacy fight was what almost everyone knew before the first punch was thrown,.....and that was that Jones was still skilled and fast enoough to beat a slow washed up fighter who didn't recover 100% from shoulder surgery and would just be a punching bag for RJJ. That fight was a joke......with Jones prancing around, playing to the crowd etc. I just feel sorry for the folks who paid good money to watch it on ppv. If RJJ fights and beats a top notch fighter I'd probably give him his props, but until then, I say RJJ is just a joke in the ring.

Jones never deserved to fight Calzahge, he cheated the fans by ruining a great fight. Beating Lacy doesn't prove anything, just like when he beat Trinidad. Lacy is very limited.

I witnessed an amazing performance by Roy Jones Jr. last night. Among the best I have seen from him, period. I don't care who the opponent was, that speed and showmanship was absolutely exceptional. I've heard of double or triple jabs, but 6X uppercuts and 4-5X hooks? You can talk up Roy's age all you want to, but no other active boxer on the planet is capable of that same performance against Jeff Lacy, or anybody else. I can only give credit to Jeff Lacy for standing up to that remarkable punishment. Roy Jones Sr. is the damn man, sorry Coach Merk...

Jeff was a never has been. This just proved that ONE OF Calzaghe's BEST (ever) wins was overly rated. The media made it more than what it really was. Joe had no part in coming to America an fighting Jones when he was P4P #1 aka unbeaten aka Mr. unstoppable.

This was an easy fight to call as was the Calzaghe Vs Lacy fight. Anyone that thought anything other would happen are either a ****** or just simply a biased Jones Jr hater, maybe bothg. Jones is old, out of his peak form and no where near his prime but yet schooled lacy WORSE than what pitty pat Joe did. haha

Do I give Jones credit? Yes and no because this is the EXACT same thing Pac did to Hatton and De La Hoya. Mayweather already beat both of them yet Pac is getting all this credit for beating a zombiefied De La Hoya and an already destroyed Hatton. I give Pac nothing on those overly rated fights. Mayweather will outclass him on so many levels. I called this a long time ago that Pac would beat Hatton to the point where people would actually believe he could beat Mayweather...... lol it was just a joke yet people actually think Pac could win....

Back to Jones. I give him credit for getting up that morning and fighting. But beating Lacy? no... Wasn't even a fight.... as I once again called it months ago.... ALONG with the Lacy Calzaghe fight. The only fight I went for Joe.... So yea I was wrong a lot.....

People need to remember too, that this is the same Lacy that Tarver wanted to fight after he lost to Hopkins. Gee, I wonder why that is. This victory means jack.
