Thats ***** **** for manny to make cotto come in at 145 and have his 147 title on the line as well. Pac could go get knocked silly by floyd in an non title fight if that's what he wants.

Rog, why did the last 100 years of boxing and rules have to be twisted for Chavez when he fought Pernell? why did the welterweight champ have to agree to a 145 catchweight and put his belt on the line?

did you consider chavez a *****?

The difference is Pac already fought someone that came in at 147 already. Chavez didn't before Whitaker at 145.

Pacquiao-Cotto: No WBO Title at Stake, Says Arum

There appears to be some confusion in the showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, scheduled for November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There is so much money at stake that Cotto does not want to risk his WBO welterweight title. Top Rank's Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, told The Philippine Star that Cotto is not willing to pay the sanctioning fee involved. Arum says the fee could be as high as $400,000 dollars. and how many times has he done that? 4, 5, 6, 7? enough to be considered a legit welter? i looked at boxrec and i only saw 1...and im guessing that de la hoya guy he fought had to fork over a ****load of cash to get him in the ring

like i said, scrap this fight...let cotto hang onto his precious belt and fight someone else

              PAC-Valero in texas..make it happen

I never said Pac was a legit WW, but he's the one that wants that belt in the 7th division. I honestly think 145 is fair but Pac has to pay Cotto more for him to put up his belt.
