I didn't say that Cotto lost against those guys. What I meant was that the results of the decisions could've been the opposite under different circumstances. Especially if the fights were outside of MSG. And Mosley has a good case for deserving that decision over Cotto even though he showed class and gave Cotto credit for the victory because of humbleness. He outlanded Cotto in power punches when the fight was over with. And that should negate the fact that the overall punch connect was even. These fights were not highway robberies, but there was at least one judge in each victory that was going to give Cotto the decision no matter what.

Well, its fairly easy to comprehend why cotto is not being vilified. 1) Manny has already fought successfully at 140 and 145 - albeit against one weight drained and, more importantly, over-the-hill and gun shy DLH and a limited Hatton. Nevertheless, although I personally had Manny winning those two fights fairly easily I never imagined it would be that one-sided, which to me shows that Manny can hold his own at 140 - 147. 2) Unlike Mayweather Cotto's matching with Manny is not part and parcel of a much larger trend of avoiding elite fighters in his own weight class. Cotto has fought most of the best at 147 and hence he deserves to get a pass to fight the P4P king at a catchweight. If Mayweather had already faced Mosley, or Margarito, or PWIll, or Cotto I would have no problem with him facing Marquez.

Hatton was overrated because of his large fan base. He was a very good but at the same time limited fighter whose flaws could be exposed to deadly effect by an elite fighter. Malignaggi was Cotto's last fight at 140. By then he was already too big for that weight class and was burning through muscle in the days leading up to the weigh-in only to rehydrate on fight night. Hence the flash knockdowns against Torres and the like. Hatton, on the other hand, was made for 140 and had nothing at 147, hence his decision to come back after his controversial win over collazo. Props to Hatton for knocking Malignaggi out but Cotto would have destroyed Hatton at 140. Would have been action packed but Cotto would most likely have won.

If in that sense that Hatton is overrated, I would agree. But others make it look like Hatton has no skills at all. I believe that Cotto is a better fighter than Hatton. I believe Cotto could have beaten Hatton.

You win fightS by winning rounds not by total punch acumulated. This is not amateur boxing.
I can land 25 total power punches in 1st 2 rounds while winning the rounds and then you come and land 35 in the 3rd round and I only landed several jabs and soft combinations i will still be winning the fight 2 rounds to 1.

You have it wrong hatton was the best JWW when PBF beat him he moved up in weight sure but after PBF beat him badly he was never the same after that, remember Juan lazcana vs hatton that pretty much proved hatton was done. Same like how Steve forbes proved dlh was shot remember how he tagged up dlh face.

Now did clottey just prove something about cotto??? do you see the pattern? Freddie roach is smart he picks fighters that come out a bad loss or win because he sees they no longer have it. I still think cotto will beat pac but it will be harder than what i taught based on what i saw against clottey

Yes i saw the beating clottey gave cotto and he is not the same guy he used to be when he fought mosley and margarito even though he lost. He was getting hit with almost everything clottey was throwing, imagine pac how fast he is?? the only good thing is pac is not as strong as clottey so thats why i think he will win but is gonna be a really hard fight for him.
