I always thought Miguel Cotto was tailor made for Floyd
Mayweather Jr. I was kicking it with some Boricuas where
I live in Spanish Harlem and this older Puertico Rican man
said out of his own mouth in front of other younger Puerto
Rican dudes that Miguel Cotto was overrated. Cotto does
come to fight but he is entirely too easy to hit for a guy as
accurate and defensive as Floyd. Floyd was at the Mosley/Vargas2
fight and he said Mosley swings too wide to be of any problems
or worries to him. Mosley would be more competitive than Cotto
but both them dudes are too easy to hit and slow for Floyd and
I totally believe and stand by that.

And even if that wasn't a HUGE enough clue then maybe Pac's desire to wait for the winner of Mayweather v Marquez would have ben enough.

Why in the **** would you fight Shane next when you could bank with Mayweather or Cotto?? JUST DON'T MAK SENSE... After Cotto v Pac.. he could take the loser... if he wants to make money that bad he can lure Hatton into Wembley. that would probably make him his most money ever. What makes u think cotto is such an easy win for Floyd? This is just my opinion but don't think Floyd has the power to keep any legit 147 pounder off of him. Even in the fight with Oscar, he won by only one point and oscar was never busy enough and and at the end of the night Oscar barely had a scratch on him! I know that fight was at 54 but the point I'm making is that he may have speed but without power, cotto will walk right thru him or Floyd is gonna win on points in a fight that he'll have to run so much that it will steal away from the excitement of wanting to see him in the ring again! And at this point in his career it's so important for him to stay marketable that he's still fighting lighter fighters and avoiding guys at 147. I just don't see Floyd winning impressively or easily against and beltholder at 147 and not cotto cuz like u said he comes to fight and he won't let Floyd coast for 12 rounds, he is gonna make him fight

pacquiao was already pegged to fight hatton around may before 08 ened. armed with that info shane could have fought at least one more time to make money & up his resume & still had more than enough time to ask for a pacquiao fight.

Cotto couldn't even walk thru the light punching Clottey.

Floyd is deceptively strong and he beats Cotto on the outside and the inside.

You're whole argument leans on the belief Floyd can't hurt Cotto..that's where you're wrong.

After about 30 jabs to the solar-plexis Cotto will be looking for a place on the canvas to lay his weary head...especially when those right hands come blazing in.
