The best thing that could of happen to Cotto is.... the hiring of Hall of Fame Trainer Emanuel Steward. He will help Cotto in ways he haven't been helped. However, changing the style of a boxer who has been fighting with that
same style all of his career won't happen. Cotto is tailor-made for Pacman.
Pacman's speed and power coming in and out will damage Cotto's image as
a boxer. This fight will be very similar to Pacman/Hatton with similar results... NUF--SED!

If Cotto is gonna hire anyone for this fight it should be nacho Berstein! Cotto's style is similar to the Marquez brothers...

Cotto should worry about PAC's speed and power, specially with the healing process of the cut. Say wanna you wanna say about the matchup, but as long as PAC beats Cotto to the punch, Pacquiao is winning this fight. If Clottey landed his right punch accurately at will, Cotto better improve his defense as he prepares for Manny.

Ok u must be an idiot if u think pac is goin to put the pressure margo put on cotto

1. Pac is almost a foot smaller than margoo
2. He doesn't hit anywhere near as hard a judah mosley clottey or margo
3.pacs speed will not be effective against a boxer like cotto that specailizes in timinggg and every1 kno's that nuetralizes speeddd
4. Cotto will apply the pressure to the body cutt off the ring this is completely un biased

Margo just walked on top of Cotto taking everything Cotto could throw, Bombs on de jaw did not deter Margo and he kept coming then started landing and hurting Cotto , as the rounds went so did the Margo INTENSITY until Cotto QUIT, we all saw him QUIT, shook his head in the corner he went down in but not from a PUNCH, but because his heart QUIT !

I am not making light of Cotto !!!!!! I loved to watch the guy fight !!!!!! When you Quit after a beating like he took , it takes something out of you and you will QUIT again !!!! If you have eyes to see with then you should have seen something that showed you that in his last two fights. For ONE his body language in da RANG !

Pac will begin to land SEVERE shots to the nose and jaw of Cotto, and you will see Cotto backing up like he did with Clottey with the same anguished look on his face , Pac will either Knock him out or Cotto won't be able to take the punishment and quit which is the pressure I was refering too, Pacs pressure will come from the wicked shots from both hands whereas Margo just steamrolled Cotto.

I am sorry but your list just doesn't apply to this fight. Pac and Cotto is within an inch of the same height, and they have the same reach and Pac is the fastest , the quickest of the two and he will land quicker , meaner and faster and its gonna be Cotto on his face and done n !!!

My version of what Cotto said

Manny and Cotto did not grow up speaking english. They learned along the way becuase of Boxing. Manny says things that may come off as insulting from a Western perspective. He just doesn't know the slangs, the right word(s) in a discussion, etc.

So with Cotto's remarks and knowing the type of fighter he is, he probably meant he isn't "intmidated" by anybody (two hands, one head, etc). You guys see it as a "war of words" but I read it as a boxer that will fight anyone and will not be intimidated by ones previous success.

It will be a great fight. Natural Speed vs Natural Power.

I think he needs to beat Marquez CONVINCINGLY to really say that, or beat a Joan Guzman, Nate Campbell, etc. He fights the same types of fighters and beats them. Joan Guzman came up through classes with Pac but he's never fought him. I think it says something. No one ever mentions it, I wonder why?
