At this point, that scenario is definitely possible, but if he had done this right out of the gate he would be in a prime position. Both of his PPVs with Hatton and Oscar did better, and he would've had the #1 rating for the year in a free TV fight. It would've been hard to argue against.. but this ticket sales thing, if true, could really start to squash all of his leverage for several big fights, not just Pacman.

Well if its true which i highly doubt,(the article seems very sketchy) the only thing it shows is that no one believes JMM can beat Floyd. People buy tickets to see Floyd loose, plain and simple.

But dont be surprised if the fight still makes a lot of money... I hope you enjoy blasting Floyd, because i don't remember anyone making nearly as much money as him in their last two fights.

Also, UFC won't ever have a crowd of more than 60,000 like the Wlad/Chagaev fight. Don't fret dude, there are still more boxing events around world the sells out big arenas every week.
To be fair Wlad / Chagaev didn't sell 60,000 tickets. David Haye sold 60,000 tickets!

To teh jack asses comparing boxing to UFC you need to STFU

once again, the reason the UFC puts on shows that sell out is because they have slightly better undercards only because they make such little money.

The main event pays the fighters 1 maybe 2 million
the undercards get **** like 50,000

compare that to 10-15 million for the main event in boxing

Simple economics my friends. If PBF werent so ***in greedy he could fight on regular HBO and take a smaller check for a fight that should be really easy for him. We all know JMM is going to make peanuts for this fight.

And we arent laughing at boxing we are laughing at the self proclaimed CASH COW not being able to sell jack. This whole one month befoe the fight is shyte. People just dont care for this match up. I bet Mosley vs Fraud would sell out as would cotto vs Fraud

Fraud needs to pick a true WW and he will have no problems selling out the event.
How much the fighters get paid is irrellevent to the viewing figures and ticket sales!!! And the 'slightly' better undercard IS the reason UFC is selling out arenas and not this fight. I'm not defending UFC i'm stating that all these greedy promoters in boxing need to start giving something back to us fans to get bums on seats!! SIMPLE AS THAT!!!

Floyd was B-side vs. Hatton? Riiiiiiiight, let me guess, Donte Stallworth is also doing 10 years in jail for murder.

yeah, if he went on regular HBO right from the gate he wouldn't be in this situation, but that could still hurt his bargaining power at the negotiation table depending on the ticket sales and tv ratings.

Not being funny or anything but that isn't very reliable, I aint saying it has or hasn't done more than 3,000... but we should at least wait to hear from a good and legitimate enough source. If somebody can provide one, a reliable source then fair play.

Plus... come on stop pasting the negative stuff, there was some good points made in that article as to why the ticket sales might be hurting and it seems like the TS just ignored it, at least take everything into account.

All I am saying is, it is known that the ticket sales are hurting... but we don't know if it is more than 3,000 or not... and "sources tell MaxBoxing" isn't reliable enough in my opinion, lets just wait and see for a more reliable source to come along guys.
^^bull job i bet you were one of the ones talking **** about pac vs odlh/pac vs hatton sales during these rough times.

come on how hard do you guys suck on floyds nuts to lose all sense of common sense?

Haha Good now maybe we can get a REAL fight!!!!!!! Also hopefully this lowers Floyd's ego although i doubt it. Floyd should fight Cotto or Mosley although Pac might face them before him which is plain sad...
