    Excessive clinching makes the sport unwatchable. Clinching should only be allowed when a fighter is hurt and trying to survive.

      Less talented fighters have to use it as a tactic, and those who use it probably known their own limits and probably have stamina problems probably associated with them partying all the time and doing drugs.

        it's part of boxing but i think it should only be used when a boxer is in real trouble. the way hatton used it against tszyu and berto against urango is a cheap way to fight. boxers should duck, dodge, block, parry, etc to avoid punches, not disable their opponents hands when they're still capable of using other defensive maneuvers.
