Could Roy Jones beat any heavy weight ,,, a resounding no , and Pac cannot beat any welterweight , the ignorance surrounding weight on this board is absolutely amazing , Pacs doing the right thing and so is his team , you idiots want to throw him to the lions that are so much bigger than him its not even funny and then the idiots call him a ***** , Shane dont want Williams but wants a guy that is 15 pounds smaller and Pac is the ***** , unbelievable , go and have a go at boxing yourself and then tell me weight dont mean anything .

"Richard Schaefer, CEO of De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, said the fighter already was in excellent condition.

"He's made the weight. He's really strong. He tells me he's got a great chef who makes him some great omelets, and he loves running at night," Schaefer said. "So the things he's needed to do, he's done."

De La Hoya, whose regimen includes chopping wood and slamming an old tire with a sledge hammer, said he already was down to 145 pounds (66 kilograms).

"I was shocked because I feel so strong. About a month ago, I was trying to make 150, 149, and I was feeling weak, was feeling lightheaded," he said. "My biggest concern was my power and my speed. Coming down to welterweight has actually enhanced my speed and my punching power."
even if you lay it all down for them like this, these closeminded whining pachaters would still say 'oh they're just saying that to promote the fight' or 'what do you expect them to say, that oscar is having problems and ruin the fight?'. and even if when postfight and nacho, dundee and oscar himself never complained about the weight, these whining bitches would still find something ****** to say.

Yes dean and so many people here, probably the same people criticizing pacquiao now, believed that hoya would beat pac easy. Look how they reacted after pac gave hoya a one sided beating. For the record, I also thought hoya would beat pac.

I'm not commenting on the Pac thing (though admittedly it was actually Arum saying that they wanted Cotto, Mosley or Mayweather but now they are saying that they need to come down that low? Mosleyu just accepted it and now really wants it.), but this is just complete crap from Oscar's mouth. He was feeling like ****e but thought he could just get through it against a smaller guy. He couldn't of course. But, there is no way he was feeling stronger and faster and not weight drained. It's very rare for a fighter to go from his previous conditions to that bad, though he was looking pretty nasty against Forbes as well.

Well look at the sweat he had on in the ring entrance. A weight drained fighter will not sweat much if at all. The weight drain is a likely excuse from him now though. It made the loss excusable and places the blame back towards Roach and Pacquiao without having to give them credit.

His weight was down weeks before the fight says something also. They knew Oscar was old. Oscar just got tossed angles and speed and could not cope.

He's supposed to be the huge draw..the money will be the same.
Mayweather was supposed to be the huge draw yet he only fought fighters who would make him a lot of money (Hatton) instead of fighting legit WW's.

Wrong Dean , to go up 2 pounds after the weighin in a fighter that normally dehydrates to near 160 is weight drained , that spelled serious problems doesnt matter whats said before the fact , that 2 lbs up says it all , a disaster , Pac weighed in at 142 and went up to his normal fight weight of 147-148 pounds which is typical for him even after a 135 weigh-in he still dehydrates to that weight .

Mosley has a lot of fighters to choose from. There's winner of cotto-clotey, collazo, berto or even bean paul williams if shane has the balls LOL.

But he wants an easy money so he's opting for pac and willing to sacrifice weight, profit sharing and even offering a rematch clause like he's sure of winning.

Manny on the other hand is sitting pretty and is just amuse with the fuss going around.
