Tyson made a whole lot more than Mayweather did and he's broke as well. It's all about taxes and living an immodest lifestyle that winds up costing you everything. Personally I don't care but to say either way, that he does or he doesn't, when you don't know his situation is out of control. That's just reckless talking.

          * Stone Cold Steve Austin earned over $5 million dollars per year in 1998 and 1999 as WWE's main star.
          * In 1987 the Road Warriors (Legion of Doom) had contracts for $500,000 per year each. This was a massive amount for that time.
          * Big Show (Paul Wight) signed a ten year contract with the WWE in 1999 at $1 million dollars per year. When he returned to the WWE in early 2008 WWE renegotiated a new deal for much less money.
          * In 1974 Andre The Giant was the highest paid wrestler in the world earning $400,000 per year.
          * Randy Savage earned around $1 million during his first WWF title reign between 1988 and 1989. He earned a similar amount in 1999 as a headliner in WCW.
          * Vince Russo was paid $500,000 per year to join WCW and leave the WWF as head writer.
          * In 1998 the WWF paid Mike Tyson $3.5 million dollars to appear at WrestleMania 14.
          * The Undertaker earns around $2 million a year currently in the WWE.
          * Shawn Michaels probably has the best deal in wrestling today earning $1.5 million per year for a limited TV and PPV only appearance based contract.
          * John Cena is the industries highest earner. He will make between $2.5 million and $3 million this year. He is the biggest seller of merchandise in the WWE, the royalties from this add to his downside guarantee.
          * Mark Henry was signed to a 10 year $250,000 per year contract by the WWE after the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. At the time this was considered a huge amount to offer an unproven rookie.
          * Brock Lesnar was signed to the biggest ever WWE development deal in 2001, $250,000 per year. Today he earns $500,000 per fight in the UFC.
          * Floyd Mayweather Jnr earned around $2 million dollars and a percentage of PPV buy rates to face Big Show at WrestleMania 24. The $20 million figure WWE stated was inflated for the purpose of the storyline.

^that quote, is Floyd's correct? Just asking.

Horus, let me ask this. I've looked around, and everywhere I find info, it's saying that in 1998 Mike Tyson was paid between 3 and 3.5 million dollars for his appearances in WWE. Now, assuming that's true, do you REALLY think Floyd would make 20, if Mike ****ing Tyson only made 3.5?

LOL. At anyone still gullible enough to believe Floyd made 20 million. Vince Mcmahon didn't even give Larry King a straight answer when King had both of them right in front of him. The incentives bit is true. Mcmahon said on the CNN program that "Floyd could very well make 20 million." in insincere fashion. It was not set in stone that this was a guaranteed amount in the contract. You want to know why there's no way in hell Floyd met incentive demands though? Because the Wrestlemania Floyd participated in did less buys than the previous year! LOL.

I've said this before, McMahon would catch hell from his top stars if Floyd made anywhere near that amount around their contract times. Steve Austin, who turned McMahon into a billionaire in the late 90's never saw more than 6 mil annually, and I'm supposed to believe, Vince paid Floyd over triple that for one event, in a non boom period for the World Wrestling Federation? GTFOH!

Horus, you've been hoodwinked, what Sports Illustrated and Forbes got a hold of were press releases from the Mayweather camp and the WWE and they ran with the story. This happens all the time in the media, don't take it as gospel.

What does mike tyson has to do with Floyd mayweather?
I explain this to you already ...

Is it believable Chris Webber signed a $122,718,750 contract with the kings
Is it believable Alexander Ovechkin signed a $124,000,000 contract with the capitals
Is it believable Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic signed a $126,000,000 contract.
Is it believable Fernando Alonzo of auto racing singed a $160,000,000 just to race cars?

You wouldnt believe the amount of money business pay athletes for their services...but like it or not it happens...

and according to sports illustrated WWE paid Mayweather his money.
