First of all, Cotto in many interviews got tired of talking about Mayweather and rather let the pormotional company do the negotiations, he is a fighter not a business man. Mosley got tired of waiting around and went in weight to find other challenges fighting people bigger than him. Margarito even went up to Floyd and that fight never happened (he fought Baldomir instead). So I don't want to hear that Floyd fought the best opposition available to him. He went with low risk fights with the highest pay. A fighter is measured in the chances he takes in a fight you can likely loose and come victorious. In my eyes he has done nothing great but beat a prime Corrales. Look at Whitaker's career and try to compare it (no coparison)

Too much hype on this fight IMO. Sure its good to see Floyd back in action but really, we all know Floyd is fighting for money rather then legacy. Styles make fights and honestly these two together arent gonna make for an action packed weekend.

Marquez is a counter puncher and Floyd is a defensive master, how the hell is that gonna be exciting unless one of them becomes the aggressor? I see a couple of good exchanges in this one but nothing more. Im more excited to see how Floyd reacts to the lay off. No doubt in my mind Floyd takes it, its how impressive he does it is what im excited over.

well said train hard 187. but both fighters need that kind of contact for future fights. floyd can turn a counter puncher into a brawler and he needs that for the ring rust. then for marquez this helps him too for a possible pac fight. manny is very cautious when it comes to marquez. 2 close fights. styles makes fights.
