Maybe you have some racist friends but they have not been posting in this thread. Not one person in this thread has said they don't like the Klitschkos because of race, and most people who said they don't like Wlad also said they do like Vitali, and did like Sanders. So no, it's not a valid comment; and claiming that the only possible reason that someone could have for not liking Wlad is because of the fact that he is white, ignoring the obvious fact that a lot of people just don't like his style, and when no one else in the thread had even mentioned the colour of his skin, is racist.

You're saying that it's impossible for a heavyweight to be a fluid or graceful mover? GTFOOH.

Ali was as fluid as Jones or Mayweather, and in any case I was simply making the point that people find Wlad boring because of his safety first approach, and that although Jones and Mayweather also often use a safety first approach, fewer people find them boring because of their fluidity and gracefulness. How hard is that to understand?

M-m-m... I`m pretty surprised with how people can perceive same things in a different way... After 2006 and 2007 when Klitschko had couple good fights (i mean nice to watch) he suddenly became boring after the Ibragimov fight... Okay, i agree that fight wasn`t the best attraction, but everybody just seem to forget the fight with Thompson, and proceed to Rahman... Which became so "explosive" cause Rahman was sitting on his back foot, and hiding behind his block for the whole fight...

About the criticism of the author: Klitschko`s poor chin is a myth... Anyway if you consider it weak, you should consider him even greater boxer, because he made it so far with such chin...
Klitschko`s poor stamina is a myth... He has more 12 round bouts than his elder brother, he looks fresher in the later rounds. Are you talking about 2004 with Brewster? Very silly...

If Klitschko`s opposition is pathetic, i say we just should wait a little bit and see how would Haye fight such guys as Thompson (or Krasniqi, who was defeated by him), Ibragimov (or Holyfield and Briggs, who were defeated by him), Brewster, Byrd... How would he fight Povetkin?..

I mean, people should differentiate somehow the very spectacular and entertaining Cruiserweight from a "Hope of the division"... I mean, he could be a great cruiserweight... But, even if he beats Wladimir (which i`m pretty much sure he won`t), are you sure he can handle the top Heavyweights of our time (which people like to consider so pathetic)...

KostyaTszyu is right - look at Adamek. It's not skin colour, it's Wlad's safety first, low-risk strategy that makes him 'boring' especially to the casual observer.
I do agree with Tunney on one point. Heavyweight division is like a visiting card of boxing. World HEAVYWEIGHT champion should be a black guy... So, i wish that after Klitschko retires there is an American/English guy to become a Champion (God, please, let it be not Tyson Fury...)

P.S. one more reason why Wladimir doesn`t get his respect now, is because he holds 3 titles at a time, when there are three more champions, and no matter how hard he tries, he won`t be able to unify the division completely... There always will be some bum, who will be proclaimed an "interim beta champion" by some idiot... Which of course never happened in the previous century...

                  IMO...

Dude, you spoilt a considered and well argued post with the statement:

World HEAVYWEIGHT champion should be a black guy...

and that, is, why again exactly?

I couldn't give a flying feck what skincolour, race, creed, religion, ***uality or pretty much anything else any champ of any division is or was, providing they're worthy of the belt and give it all in the ring.

As has been pointed out by numerous others, Vitali gives it all and engages in balls-to-the-wall wars with opponents, Wlad doesn't.

Hence I'd rather see Vitali HWC than Wlad.

                    End of.

It is very good that you don`t care about that, but many others do...

As i have said the HW is the visiting card of boxing... It defines sports popularity to some extent... And, IMO, American public is the one which finances this sport more then the others... The presence of American Heavyweight Champion gives some sence of stability, i guess... (Okay i should have said American, not black... But at the same time, English Lewis was caring the boxing popularity in the beginning of 2000...) When there are more American heavyweights, the American fan (who mostly provides boxers with payment) feels more comfortable and interested in the sport...

Wlad did that early on in his career... He ended up losing to Purity and Sanders... Now he plays much safer, cause there is much difference in his and his brother`s chin...

P.S. Though i think and always will, that in the hypothetic fight Wladimir wins...

P.S. I think Vitali doesn`t have the potential and wish to become HoF or ATG Heavyweight champion, unlike Wladimir...

You can call nonsence everything i`ve writen, but that is just my opinion...
