Why doesn't Floyd use his JAB more often?

I thought I remember him using the jab a lot in the Chico fight. I haven't watched it in a while but I remember being impressed with it.

Everything Floyd did in that fight to me was him at his best. He used every weapon available to him.

A lotta quick guys lead wit powershots rather than jab. Mr boat buyer is also more of a counterpuncher.

floyd is just like RJJ. the both lead with the left hook instead of the jab. i dont know why, the just do

he would jab to the body to get him to move his hands down. then he would go upstairs with the left hook. i was a good game plan

I think Floyd needs to bring back his jab and continue to use it more often than he has in the past. But, I'm not a pro boxer so it's easy for me to say it. I just thought the "JAB" was the weapon to have as number 1 (like Roger said) and if you have Floyd's reach, why not use it as your main weapon?

Has Floyd watched to many Roy Jones Jr. fights?
Imagine if Roy concentrated on perfecting his JAB and used it more often.

I personally don't get. Anybody that actually boxes know why you would avoid using the jab?

He uses his jab all the time. Its hard to notice it because he goes to the body with it.

A jab for him is detrimental..why risk getting countered throwing a 1-2 if you can have the same chance of landing with just the 2.... Look at the fight where he got caught once I think against Corley it was because his jab got countered.

Floyd is a pot-shotter now... pot-shotters don't use thier jabs

Because he likes to work off what the other fighter is doing (i.e counter), but he's said it himself that if his opponent doesn't use the jab he will.
