He looked excellent against Margarito who blocks punches with his face and Collazo who was (supposedly) fighting with one hand. Its still a good win but prime Shane would beat Cotto IMO.

And no way does Mosley stop Floyd. It took Shane 12 rounds to stop Mayorga. And Mayorga made em look bad.

His resume is not great, he has beaten a lot of good champions through the weights which is tough and a great accomplishment, it gives floyd a deep resume, but it lacks substance at the very highest level. I fail to see one great fighter, who is a complete fighter on the list. Oscar was a sensational fighter, but in 99-03, not in 2007.

If you watch the first Oscar shane fight, and the oscar that fought mayweather, it is night and day, and even the 2007 version took floyd to 8-4 on the cards. Fact is floyd lacks a really great (in his prime fighter) on his resume, and for someone of his stature, and the fact that he proclaims to be one of the best ever he should probably have at least 2 or 3.

The clock is ticking on him now, marquez is a good fight but in reality he should really be fighting shane mosley, and if he does go on to fight pacquiao that will definitely elevate his status and probably be the first truly great (in his prime) fighter that mayweather has fought.

Why Shane instead of Cotto? Shane is past his prime. He looked bad against Mayorga, luckily Mayorga isn't very good.

            to answer your questions

            1) comparing how? resume, styles, accomplishments what? be clear when you ask questions

            2) in terms of resume in terms of style in terms of intangibles both fighters stack up better than the ones you mentioned. I could break it down for you but to be honest I would rather debate with people who actually know what they are talking about

you sound like nothing more than a recent casual fan who thinks they know the sport so I will leave it at that
And you sound like a twat, pure and simple. I dont think you are half as clever as you seem to think you are

I would love to see Cotto and him go at it, but to say Mosley is past his prime is not correct. Dude seems to be at his peak! More respect.

I would be happy with either, I went for shane as cotto has a fight coming up, and realistically mosley-mayweather could have easily been made, plus shane is coming off a good win so his confidence will be high, and with cotto's problems in his camp plus I didn't think he looked very good against jennings but it is understandable as it was his first fight back from the ko.

Either one though poses a bigger threat then marquez though in my opinion.

He has a very good resume.......

Adding JMM.....Pacman and Mosley/Cotto will surely help.

maybe but I still know way more than you will ever know. You come in and try to say something that comes off as intelligent but in reality comes off as nothing more than a surface level pass at really breaking down why you feel that way then when someoen calls you on it you do nothing more than make a broad statement and turn it on me or whoever you are debating with in a feeble attempt to get away from the point you made

comparing Baldo to the likes of Chico and JLC is all I needed to read to make this assumption as anyone with any knowledge of the sport would know the careers of Baldomir and both Chico and JLC and would summize that his pales in comparison. Even Judah, who I think is closer than Baldo would ever be, is still a notch or two below the above mentioned.

so tell me why you think both are in the same league as Baldomir and Judah. Dont just make some broad statement tell me why you think that

Mosley had a scintillating performance last time out, no doubt. But he is past his prime, the way margarito fought flattered him. 8-10 years ago shane was even better, again watch his first fight with de la hoya as a reference point.
