I actually thought Tarver would win the rematch because of the fact Dawson has those lapses. Figured with the track record, Tarver's punching power, and perhaps a different motivation this time around things would change.

They did lol because Tarver gave him a much tougher fight and you could see that by the expression on Dawson's face. I don't think he's ready to fight Calzaghe........I mean Tarver did his best looking like a 40 year old man relying on infrequent showy punches and he still couldn't really impress.

All the times he'd miss with those wild power punches looked bad.

From what I saw right now this man would get outclassed by Hopkins and even Calzaghe. The guy dissapointed me big time.

He didn't look too good tonight i was also a bit disappointed. For a 26 year old he's WAY too economical... He may be hiding stamina problems that's why he fights in spurts.. At 26 you aren't supposed to fight in Spurts. I haven't seen too many fights of Dawson but if he won vs Adamek he must have been more active in that fight. Maybe that was respect for Tarver's left... I don't know, too soon to tell for me at least. His defense is phenomenal though.
I'd favor him vs Calzaghe and Bernard at this point because one's a fake ass one trick Poney (zaghe for clarity) and the other one is too old for pro boxing. Dawson would never let Zaghe off the hook after the mandatory 1st round KD and would Ricky Hatton him out of there. Bernard is too old and can't fight 12 rounds anymore really.

Calzaghe and Hopkins would lose to Dawson. And you know Hopkins wouldn't be able to school him, he's no Pavlik. I think Dawson really couldn't do anything different from the last against Tarver, it was still an impressive win. If you're going to judge Dawson from this fight, you're clearly underestimating him.
