It's funny now Pacquiao's last 3 wins were "easy fights"

That's all I read. People discrediting Pacquiao wins saying they were easy wins.

If you told me a year ago That Pacquiao was going to move up to lightweight and fight for a belt I would probably say alright Pacquiao will probably win but it depends on how he looks at lightweight because he never fought there.

Then you tell me after that he's going to fight at welterweight against Oscar De La Hoya and move down to 140 to fight Ricky Hatton after.........I would call you ***in crazy. I would say both those guys KO him.

Does anyone remember how much of a joke the De La Hoya fight was considered when it first came up? Everyone picked against Pacquiao in that fight and said he had no chance. Then he DESTROYS De La Hoya. Now people don't even consider it a good win. Pacquiao accomplished something incredible that night.

Then the only reason Pacquiao was favored over Hatton was because he just looked so great against Oscar at a higher weight. Had he just moved up and fought Hatton after Diaz than nobody would give him a chance. Still, many thought Hatton was his real test above 135 and that he was too physical and strong for Pacquiao, would kill him to the body and all that. Pacquiao absolutely destroyed Hatton. Now people are saying Hatton was washed up, weight drained, trainer problems, blah blah blah. Hatton is 30 years old and only lost one fight, he's not washed up. Pacquiao was too fast and strong, and had a perfect game plan.

Point is, if you told me a year ago Pacquiao was going to do this I would call you insane. So the fact that he did do it is incredible and I don't see how people can discredit him.

most of those who discredit are ******ed gay-ass floyd fans who can't accept the fact that pac is now considered greater than floyd.

its funny though. floyd announced his unretirement during the day of the pac-hatton fight, saying he's the back and the best or some **** like that. then pac destroyed ricky in two rounds. must have shut him up...

Good post, agree with pretty much all of it. But u have to understand, boxing would'nt be nearly as interesting without haters. It must suck to be a Pachater though coz it sure is hard to find anything credible to hate him on...on another site the haters are sayin Pac has to be juiced, incredible.

If you remember a lot of people doubted him before a lot of these fights. Pretty much this whole board wrote him off against DLH and about half were picking Hatton to win. It's just because they predicted it wrong so they need excuses and feel like they have to discredit his wins. Also, the fact he beat the same opponents Mayweather faced in much more emphatic fashion will gain some unwanted attention from Floyd fans.

Well truth be told De La Hoya was ****e and couldn't do nothing he was a waste of space in the fight, but i'm not discrediting the fact Pacquiao beat him, when all said and done the name says it all.
The Ricky Hatton fight was in my eyes worse than ever wasn't worthy of a PPV but not because of Pacquiao but because Ricky never really looked himself after mayweather and doesn't deserve the PPV.
Pacquiao made the fights look easy, in my eyes he was the better fighter in both those fights and i aint saying if De La Hoya or Hatton was at there best then he would of lost, i still think he would of won but it might of took him longer!
But if you watched 24/7 you would see that there was problems in the training camp of the Hatton. But still i aint taking the win away from Pacquiao he was great on the night!
I still think Hatton should of stayed with Billy Graham, he showed no improvments in his game when he went to Floyd Sr.

But in the end of the day, they was easy fights for him not because he is a rubbish fighter but because De La Hoya and Hatton both wern't at there best!

Pac-Man is still a great fighter though and doesn't need to prove himself after these easy wins!

Yeah, the gayweather fans are now coming out once more because their fighter has gotten so envious with the money Pacman is earning, not to mention the achievements he has reached has surpassed whatever floyd has. How many titles in how many divisions does floyd have? How many lineal titles does floyd have?

              First things first.

              1. I think that Manny did get easy fights for his last two bouts. I don't mean walkover easy, but in terms of boxing difficulty, they really werent what I would call fights that he had to struggle with. You only have to watch them to see how much trouble it was for him. I'm not even going to talk about the DLH fight. He was ****ed.

What interests me, is that people will AGREE that Hatton looked like **** in the fight.

They will AGREE that he has no defense.

They will AGREE that he ran STRAIGHT into Mannys punches.

They will AGREE that he boxed like an Amateur.

YET, when it comes to contributing any of those facts to his win to show what a poor performance Ricky put on, it's "STFU STOP MAKING EXCUSES GAYWEATHER FAN BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH".

How is someone with practically no defense, who walks into your punches with his hands down in straight lines NOT an easy fight?

If that's not a gift to any boxer, then what is it?

              2. **** Mayweather.

The truth is though, now the dust has settled on the Pac-Hatton fight, I think Roach is actually very clever when it comes to choosing the exact opponent for Manny to look really good against.

Roach will never let Manny fight at 147 again, as he knows he chose the only fighter, DLH, who Manny could easily beat, look really good in doing so and on paper it sounds pretty amazing.

Choosing Hatton, although considered by some as the best fighter at 140, was again a really clever decision. Roach knew Hatton was defensively incapable, was past his best after the Mayweather loss and was someone who, again, Manny would look good beating. Roach made the prediction of a Manny win within 3 rounds, because he knew Hatton doesn't have the defensive abilities to cope with Manny's speed and would most likely underestimate his power. Although it is still an impressive win, it sounds better on paper than it actually is.

Roach wants Manny to move on and fight the best, but won't let them anywhere near Manny at their own weights. Cotto, Mosely, Mayweather will all have to move down in weight to fight Manny, giving him an advantage. If Roach is so confident in his fighter, then why not fight them at their own weight? If he's not good enough to fight these guys, then go back down to lightweight or beat the best at light-welter.

It's a very clever move by Roach and Arum, choosing opponents who Manny can look good against, create an advantage for Manny and give him a better chance of getting a big name on his resume. They are trying to sculpt him into the greatest fighter of all time in doing this, and so far they are succeeding.

just give his props he fought the whos who in the lower divisions and then fought 4 fights in 4different divisions in the last 15 months against 2 lineal champs an alphabet holder and a hall of famer and won. 3 out of the 4 in devastating fasion. are you telling there was absolutely no risk in those fights. pac has never ducked a challenge and will fight the champs at welter if he had his way.

even after he proves everyone wrong, you still find something to judge, you guys are real lame.
