I tell you this though. If he did fight Hopkins and Bernard got old overnight(which is possible), Carl would have two damn good names on his record already.
He would leapfrog past everyone else and be considered the man of the 168 lb division.
Worst that could happen is that he loses a decision. Losing to Hopkins is not a career killer. I think he should go for it. With Hatton's retirement looming, Froch could get big quickly if he beats Bernard, and his chances will only get better with every tick of the clock.

Froch made a big impact on April 25 by coming off the floor in the third round and battling his way to knockout of Jermain Taylor with only 14-seconds left in the fight. [details]
I cant see Froch beating Hopkins. Hopkins is a big LHW these days and if he can have Joke over, then he can have Froch over to. Calzaghe has a ****ty defence but Froch's is even worse.

Joe had the oppurtunity to face him all his career. But faced him when Hopkins was 43 and close to retirement lmfao.
Wheras Froch wants to face him the first oppurtunity he got, as his second title defence.
You really haven't got a clue have you mate
