It's a lose-lose situation....if Froch wins he won't get any credit, if he loses he will be ridiculed.

Hopkins will hug, clinch, hold, headbutt Froch and make it a typical ugly boring Hopkins fight.

How can't he get credit from the same man who beat tarver, pavlik and beat Wright in a competitive fight? The truth is Hopkins would wipe the floor with Froch and that is the real reason Froch shouldn't take the match. How can anyone say anything bad about froch if he beats a defensive genius like Hopkins, oh wait he couldn't even if Froch had the best trainer in the world which he doesn't since froch fights with his hands low all the time.

I tell you this though. If he did fight Hopkins and Bernard got old overnight(which is possible), Carl would have two damn good names on his record already.

He would leapfrog past everyone else and be considered the man of the 168 lb division.

Worst that could happen is that he loses a decision. Losing to Hopkins is not a career killer. I think he should go for it. With Hatton's retirement looming, Froch could get big quickly if he beats Bernard, and his chances will only get better with every tick of the clock.

Joe had the oppurtunity to face him all his career. But faced him when Hopkins was 43 and close to retirement lmfao.
