So why would he fight a guy who's never fougth at that weight???? Sure I can spar with a top ranked 15 year old kid and looke great, but its much harder with someone my own size.

If he can make 140 still then he should fight JMM at 140 because he would get more credit if he beats him there, at 147 it's kind of lame and predictable.

JMM has never fought above 135 and only twice at said weight. He gets absolutely nothing for beating JMM at 140. Only if he fought JMM at 135. Which would never happen.

Look, JMM called him out and Floyd figured he'd say yes, he says no and everyone goes 'Oooo Floyd don't want any of JMM, fancy ducking a dude half your size'

Realistically if Floyd says the fight is to happen at 147 and JMM feels that's too high then the fight shouldn't happen because it's just unrealistic. If it's anyone's fault really it's JMM for calling out a guy that hes not actually prepared to fight.

As I've said previously, did anyone expect Adamek to come down to light heavy when Hopkins called him out? Or did you all expect Hopkins to move to cruiser?

          Exactly.
Seeing as the highest weight JMM has fought at was 135 most people would presume they they would compromise at a weight like idk 140ish? The B-hop/Ademek comparison is not apt because the whole purpose of Hop moving up to fight Ademek was to get another title in another weight class. JMM wants to fight Floyd not for a belt but the notoriety of beating Floyd and of course it's a big money fight for him.

JMM was going to go up to 140 regardless, to fight the winner of Pacquiao/Hatton but now that he called out Mayweather he is willing to fight at a catchweight of 143lbs, 144 tops. I agree If they fight at 135 it would be nothing close to a tune-up but be realistic, when was the last time Floyd made 135? the fight would be nice at 143 because it's just 3 pounds up to a weight that JMM was going to go for anyways althhough i prefer for it to be held at 140.

Btw, those 2 fights he fought at lightweight were 2 KO's against 2 fighters who posed a lot of threat to him and have never been KO'd before.

I have been very critical of Floyd in the past but right about now, I am just glad that he is back and fighting anyone he wants. Let Floyd get his groove back and then we can be critical of him again

Mayweather is choosing Marquez, dont play with that dumb ****...

It doesnt matter who called out who... do you have any idea how many fighters have called out Mayweather? He didnt fight any of them, but all the sudden he ll fight marquez and hatton because they "called him out"

He can beat them, plain and simple.. thats why hes doing it.

                  It's his pick.

Floyd and Marquez are the same size. He doesn't need an excuse to fight guys who are the same size as him, that's his right.

Floyd doesn't have an obligation to fight much bigger guys. He'll do it when he feels like doing it. And when he does, he'll beat them too. To Floyd, ALL of those guys (Cotto, Marquez, Pacquiao) are tune-ups. The only fighter in the world who would be a challenge to him is Paul Williams.
