He's probably weighing around 154-157 right now. Only a moron would expect him to drop to 140 when he is close to 147. I believe had he not had the long lay off he'd be closer to 140. If Pac did DLH at 147 why wouldn't he get with Floyd there? As for all of these guys saying what Floyd or any fighter should and shouldn't do, Whether we like it or not. The name of the sport is still called prize fighting. If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense. yea i'd agree with that. mexican/mexican-american fans dont even hate floyd they just ignore him because we just find his style flat out boring and call him a ***** lol. there is very little interest in his fights. now Pac vs Marquez III would be huge among mexicans because not only are they exciting but its another shot at vengeance against pac!

if guys like u are claiming that floyd is too small for ww, then why are u defending his decision for the fight to take place there? If he's too small for ww, then the next weight-class down is 140. At that weight, it would be about who's the better fighter. There could be no excuse for weights.

Fighters, especially Floyd, will be at risk of showing up "Flat" if they have to diet down/drain weight for the weigh-in.

If according to Floydboyz, Floyd isnt a legite WW, So whats the problem with him fighting at 140? Should they make a special weight class for Floyd? Lets call it the Maywelter weight division, and only Floyd can fight there, and demand other fighters meet him there.

Really, since Freddie Roach wants Floyd to fight Pac in a new division called "Catch-weight" 143

And speaking of divisions, if a division says "147" why are fighters coming in 10+ pounds over that?

My thing is this. Dont fight at WW if u dont plan on fighting any WW's. If fighting LWW's and LW's is what's your objective, then go fight there. Like i said in an earlier post. There was no outcry from the Floydboyz when Floyd opted to fight the much bigger Baldomir, yet god forbid the fans ask him to fight one of the top WW's. It depends on how many fights he has left. I would like to see him against Berto, but would it be wise for a fighter in his 30's with almost a 2 year layoff to come back and fight Berto?

Nobody's ****ting on the fight itself. The problem people have is the fact that Floyd is demanding it take place at 147. I would love to see this matchup, but it would have to be held at a weight that would be fair to both fighters. Why should it only benefit Floyd?

I agree. I kinda like this fight but not at 147. I think 140 would be much better than 147.
