floyd can't even jump 1 weight division without taking on tuneups yet he wants marquez to jump 2 weight divisions?
JMM is an active fighter and doesn't show up at 135 by fight time. A poster said 140 pounds by fight time for JMM, although I'm not positive if true. Anyway, considering Floyd was showing up at 149, that's a 9 pound difference (if all numbers hold true). If JMM adds 5 pounds, it will only be a 4 pound difference.

4-9 pounds (maybe more) is what Floyd would be giving up fighting other WW so if he does fight JMM, he should fight the other WW after.

Floyd would be asking JMM to do what fans want of himself {Floyd} to do by fighting other WW that blow up in weight by fight-time.

I'm not in favor of the JMM fight if it has to be at 140. Floyd should just fight a JrWW that shows up at 147+ by fight time or fight a good WW. And then go on to end up fighting Cotto, Mosley, etc.

What if Floyd called out Pavlik...and then a couple of weeks later, Floyd said "um, I want Pavlik to move down to fight me".

What would you say about that?

If a fair catchweight cant be agreed upon, then the fight should be scrapped. Im all about competitive matchups. If Floyd/Marquez cant take place at 140, then i have no interest in seeing Marquez come in severely disadvantaged at 147. Even 140 is pushing it for Marquez, but i feel his skillset will make up for the few pounds.

            They'd call Floyd a *****

Floyd should refuse the 140 thing, why should he drain himself for JMM when he is the bigger draw and JMM called him out

But with Floyd - Pavlik, Floyd would have to move to 160

He's held to different standards, but thats what happens when your that good

              .
Actually, Floyd is asking Marquez to do what Floyd has done his whole career.

              Gatti - 10+ lbs
              Delahoya - nearly 20 lbs
              Castillo - 9 pounds
              Etc.

Benny, is that an accurate statement?

no one shows up at the weight they fight in anymore.

                this is not the 1960's.

Floyd's still has his disadvantages: Off for almost two years by fight-time and walks into fights with brittle hands.

Floyd hasn't blown-up in weight yet while at WW so if he still is on point, he should be around 149 by fight-time. 149 is what many JrWW fight at by fight-time. The difference here would be that Floyd would have to drain himself for the weigh-in.

Pac was 147 pounds when he fought Diaz and about 149/150 for Oscar.

                  Hatton is 149-154

                    Deevel,

With all due respect: you are a mutha****in liar.

You would say "Floyd shouldn't be calling Pavlik out if he isn't ready to fight him. What a *****".

I got love for you , man... but you're lying your ass off right now.

Floyd: "I'll fight anyone from 154 on down"

Those words came out of Floyd's own mouth!

Now, if Floyd isnt complaining about being too small for WW, why are u Floydfantics complaining?
