The Alzheimer's must be kicking in for Bob. Deep inside he knows where the money's at. As the next contender for Manny: Cotto or Mosley would be great; JCC Jr. not so much; PWill would be the true David vs Goliath story of our time. But fighting Mayweather is a proposition on another level. Shades of Ali vs Frazier, Leonard vs Hagler or Tyson vs Holyfield. It's the one event that would truly push boxing back into the mainstream. Look at these forums. I see somebody writing about Floyd every damn day in here. Cotto vs Pacquiao couldn't pull half of what Pac vs PBF could.

              bob arum is an idiot

Now that bob arum knows that he will lose Miguel cotto, in every interview he says that pacquiao is going to fight cotto, then chavez now Gayweather. He is desperate about Cotto lose that he wants to call his attention. After December Cotto won't sign any contract with Arum, stay with the Cheater Margarita, to see if he is going to have another chance to load his gloves. Sorry Arum, sorry Margarita, you will become history very soon

So you rather see a third Pac-JMM fight.....or Pac fight to people who could seriously hurt him in the ring like Cotto and Mosley...over a Mayweather vs. Pacman fight???

Your hate for Floyd is nuts man.

                  Let us have the fight

Really good that those who matter are now realizing how important it is to have this fight. Just everyone and boxing will be the winner with the loser of this fight being an exception.

Boxing gains more prominence, which is direly needed now.
Both Manny and Floyd will smile happily to the bank afterwards.
The watching public benefits from the great spectacle of a fight.
The promoters benefit immensely from the huge financial reward.

It is gonna be No 1 in many people's mind versus No 1 official-wise.

Just tell me why this this fight should not happen.

I agree Dave, but this could influence Manny's thinking. If it does, it could be the small edge that puts Hatton over the top. Either way though, I expect a great fight on May 2nd. Both guys can bring it and it cannot help but be an amazing event.

I truly can't wait for this fight to happen; Pacman needs to pull off a victory and we'll have a mega bout at the end of the year.
