I hope he gets KOed by an avg fighter in a tune up.

Clottey has slow feet, he needs to move, Cotto have problems with fighters that move well and have a good punch. Clottey vs Juday showed alot of Clottey, and judging that fight don't see that Clottey has enough fire power to hold of Cotto. Clottey does have handspeed, combanation punching, stamina and a good chin to make it an intriging matchup. This should be a good action fight but judging what Ive seen I give the edge to Cotto.

This thread is stating the obvious. I think most of you agree as many of us have already previewed possible fights. It's quite simple. I think many people on here get caught up in their passions towards Floyd whether they be positive or negative. Let's face it. He is by far the most talked about fighter on this board! Love him or hate him. Second, he knows this hence the demands for money. Also, a break down of possible opponents would reveal that Pac,Hatton,Marquez and Mosely are the only real viable opponents. Two things determine this. Money first and size. So many consider Floyd a ***** because he didn't fight Margarito,Williams,Cintron and Cotto. Size was the MAJOR reason for the first 3 and money for the third. I've probably said this a million times on here but Floyd is nowhere near being a true WW in terms of natural size. Many will look at Pac's victory over DLH and get hyped but the truth is DLH fought Floyd @150lbs. A far more natural weight than 147 for DLH. So that argument isn't valid. A good big man usually beats a good small man. That is why you see so many smaller guys 'handpick' the guy they are going up in weight against. (RJJ v.s. John Ruiz but not Holifield or Lewis). Many will voice concerns about Floyd not fighting Cotto. Look at the numbers of the Cotto v.s. Margarito. To the real fans we knew this was going to be a great fight. Casual fans did not, hence the numbers were not as good as Floyd's last 3 fights. Cotto is NOT a big enough draw period. I really think he will lfight Marquez and Pac and forego Mosley. I give Mosley the best shot at beating Floyd due to his speed, style and size.

Williams called out Mosley only three weeks ago, but Mosley said in a TV interview that he doesn't want to fight him "because he's too big".
He tried to make a fight with Marg this year and Marg was offered a guarantee of $4 million to fight him, but chose to fight Mosley for $2.3 million instead.
He tried to get a fight with Clottey late last year, but HBO and Arum killed it between them, even though Clottey wanted the fight.
Why Williams? Simply because most people consider that to be the riskiest fight he could make at Welter, and therefore it would have the biggest effect on his ATG ranking.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-20-2009, 03:47 PM.
