I dont believe one win or loss is what puts you in the P4P list or takes you off...thats how I drew my conclusions.

you have a point because corrales and castillo went to war and both didn't get booted from the p4p list.

then again cotto was a huge favorite and was winning the fight handily until he gassed and got stopped. maybe that has something to do with it.

Thats why I never mentioned Jennings (I dont believe a win over Jennings did nothing to his status) but again a loss, which is now a controversial loss should not effect him either.
I also felt that he should have avenged his loss to Margarito (and was happy and pushing for the June rematch) but we all know what happened and that changed my opinion on Margarito.
I think Cotto should put him last on his list of paydays...make him wait ..but eventually take care of him at a ridiculous split if he doesnt abide by his suspension and fights in Mexico.

its controversial but a loss is a loss. only if the loss was turned into a no contest would I immediately put cotto back without a better-than-jennings victory.

I guess the Margarito thing we will have to agree to disagree...Margarito (Unless he dies *God Forbid*) isnt going anywhere or his Mexican fans. Remember Cotto is not part of the boxing commission but he does have say over who he allows a payday, so if he disagrees with what Mexico is doing or the commission he can exercise his power and "make him pay another way".
Cotto has more options and bigger pay days, so I would'nt look back until maybe Hatton, Pac, Clottey then Im sure Margarito will be just as happy to prove "he didnt" use plaster.
In other words "the Margarito fight is always appealing even if Cotto or Margarito lose 2 or 3 of their next fights....its an ace in the hole.
