LOL. I completely disagree. Clottey would simply pick apart Mosely. Unlike Margarito who you mentioned, Clottey has fast hands and a very good defense. Mosley's wild over hand rights would miss all night. Clottey is highly underrated and highly dangerous. Mosely knows this and will likely never face Clottey.

What has Clottey done? Beat wash-ups like Judah & Chico and last 12 rounds against Margarito?

Mosley would kill Clottey, if it happens before Shane gets too old. Clottey would have no answer for all that skill, speed & power. He can defend but, how the hell is he gonna catch Mosley? If you didn't know anything about Clottey and read this thread, you'd think he was freaking young Tyson re-incarnated.

Don't get me wrong, I like Clottey but saying he's in the same level with Pwill, Cotto or SSM is ludicrous.

I think Mosley can beat Clottey & I'll tell you why. Clottey doesn't box, he stands there and go punch for punch. Clottey would give Mosley an easy target to hit like Margarito did. The only way to fight Mosley is to out box him like Cotto did and make him move because he will get gassed and start to lose his legs. Mosley is a boxer with a pressure fighters mentality. Cotto may have a chance to beat Clottey the same because Clottey just stands and waits for his opponent to open up so he can connect. Did you see how Zab was going off on Clottey (With No effect) but still Clottey gives up too many opportunities in the ring. I definitely feel Clottey would serve Berto, Cotto maybe, Mosley don't see it but anything can happen in the ring.

Clottey is ranked #4 by The Ring, which means most boxing experts strongly disagree with you.

As for who he's fought, the whole point of this thread is that none of the top Welters want to fight him and that Arum is doing sod all to change the situation for him. I'm convinced that Clottey-Williams would have happened last year if Arum had wanted to make it happen - HBO isn't the only show in town.

You maybe right but Clottey does not take the fight to his opponents so he would be giving up more opportunities for Mosley to get off and possibly connect. On top of that Clottey is injury prone and Mosley is durable so I'm not too sure that Clottey would be able to KO Mosley. Your forgetting that Mosley has fast hands as well. The only thing Clottey has over Mosley is defense. The thing that will be Clottey's down fall is his work rate if he just tries to counter off Mosley. I think Mosley would fight Clottey if Clottey got up and made some effort to get a fight. Clottey was sitting waiting for people to give him a shot (He has a title) At this point he should just fight whoever at 147 & build his stats up.

I agree with that, Quintana would be a good start - doesn't matter that he's not a huge name, he's respected. And I'm not convinced Clintron wouldn't take a fight with him if Clottey really pushed him for it. As you say he hasn't been pushing. But he also needs to change promoters, Arum has done nothing for him.

Re. your points about Mosley, you may be right, who knows, but it's a pick 'em fight in my opinion and I hope it eventually happens.

Right, Clottey has only one legit loss cuse he hurt his hand (broke it actually) and would have thoroughly beaten margarito had it not gotten hurt. The baldomir disqualification was bunk and everyone is scared of him.

Hw ould smack mosley in his dace and beat him to the punch all night, the dude runs like 6 miles at least everyday, he won't tire down the stretch!
