This is what happens when fighters have no answer for their opponents. Recently we've seen:

Pacquiao-De La Hoya (Oscar was clueless as to how to deal with Pac)
Hopkins-Pavlik (Pavlik was clueless as to how to deal with Hopkins)
    V. Klitschko-Peter (Peter was clueless as to how to deal with Vitali)
    W. Klitschko-Rahman (Rahman was clueless as to how to deal with Wlad)
Mosley-Margarito (Marg was clueless as to how to deal with Shane)

And no doubt a few more.

All of the losers stood almost stationary, none looked like they were trying. All of them were hurt, humiliated, and stunned in the early rounds.

    That's what happens.

It just seemed wierd to me thats all, almost intentional, and if people cant see this from watching the fight then I guess it must just be me then lol.. but one thing I know for sure is that Pacquiao does not deserve credit for the victory, as he might as well have fought a bum off the street, so dont go talking about tactics, game plans and all that because they didnt count for s**t in that fight.
Then you can say the same to Morales for giving up in the 3rd rd in the 3rd fight. MAB's corner throwing the towel in the 1st fight. Maybe they throw that fight too? You guys don't get it. Pacquiao is a Phenomenon, he's no ordinary fighter. Watch the Hatton fight, Hatton is Legit, same age as Pac, but you'll see.. Pac will just annihilate him. You'll probably have the same excuse after the fight.

okay point taken... im not the only one to think otherwise though, a quick google search will show you that..

ahh well, maybe im just underestimating Pac's greatness - we will see what happens on May 2nd anyways and if he can really prove himself against a real test at 140 in hatton i.e do something similar to what he did with DLH, then all my doubts and su****ions can be put to bed.

I know Pacs a fantastic fighter, but he has not faced a real test above 130 and Hatton WILL be that test. Either could win the fight but I would be hugely suprised if Hatton loses badly/is annhialated, as all you Pac fans think he will be.

When you're 2-1 underdog going into the fight you are there to be tested. Pac passed with high honors over dlh. nobody ever expect that kind of performance but I did. But nobody believed me then.

Not all Pac fans think like that. I'm a Pacquiao fan but I acknowledge that Ricky is a very good, rough, tough fighter and he stands a good chance here. Can't count him out. I do see Pac winning, but I don't think it will be easy, he'll really need to work hard to be victorious. I will also give Hatton the credit he deserves if he wins.

Any Pacquiao fans claiming Hatton is a push-over aren't actually doing Pacquiao any favors anyway, they'd be discrediting his win... if he does win, that is.

My prediction: Pacquiao by late T/KO in a tough fight. But I am prepared to be wrong.

I don't believe that fight was a fix because there is NO reason for DLH to toss that fight. It ****ed up his career. Now who wants to see him in a big money fight? Plus DLH doesn't even promote Pacquiao, Arum does. Why would he want to turn an Arum promoted fighter into a star while ruining his own career?

But watching that 7th had me thinking the same thing... All I could come up with is that he was beaten up so badly in the beginning that he just gave up. You heard Freddie Roach saying that he's not very confident.
Either that or he really had nothing in the tank, either from the weight or overtraining. If you actually box you would know that sometimes you paw with your jab and throw some fake ass punches when your muscles are dead. Your mind wants to throw the punches but your body just isn't there. It isn't like he threw those punches in the first round...

You're probably right. I am a Manny fan but Dela Hoya was definitely not in his usual self. If that's the case, Manny should have battered ODLH's face even more up to the point Manny would be more handsome than him.

Or should we boxing fans thanks dela hoya for what he did? that way, boxing's issue being a dying sport would be ctrl+alt+del if great boxers just go and be defeated by great boxers... boxing politics eh?
