uhm, i think these media guys should really wait a bit for the truth to be told before speaking like that. If this gets certified as the cheat it looks like, then yes Margarito and his corner made a terrible thing and they must pay, but it could turn out like a misunderstanding really, maybe it was just pressed wet gauze, but without plaster substance. Id wait the facts before painting a guy gulty in front of the boxing world
well think about that...they were still loading the gloves either way...with or without the plaster, it was still with the intent of an advantage and it is still a cheat
The investigation has to take its course I just hope the commission doesn't get paid off to go one way or the other. Margarito / Cotto fight will sell out the door if nothing else out of curiosity...all good things for Arum. Maybe its me but Margarito looked a little shaken by the re-wrapping he wasn't that fierce stare down at the start and Mosley seemed to be smirking at his punches...
I am (pending) a Margarito fan, but more importantly a fan of boxing and this really bothers me. If the gauze proves to have an illegal substance on it then it is a safe bet this has been happening for some time. All of his past victories come into question and maybe should be over turned or declared no contests. I pains me to say it, because I once cheered him on, but this I cannot stomach. Athletes are humans and make mistakes and maybe he didn't know that his hands were being taped illegally (if it turns out they were). Maybe. I am anxiously awaiting some official word. Why would it take so long to figure this out? Isn't there some sort of plaster of paris test? Very unsettling.
I don't know why they are prolonging the inevitable. It is what it is! What else could it possibly be? If it is BLUE then it's BLUE, it can't be RED if it's BLUE! It just doesn't look right.
He's done off if every professional in boxing has never seen this before in a
hand wrapp! Now we're just waiting for the punishment to be handed down.
And if Miguel Cotto's dumb ass Uncle ain't trained enough to have spotted it
in their match up then it will only be speculated that he used it against Cotto.
What legacy is he on about yes he has held 3 variations weight title of the welterweight belt but he isnt and wasnt going to be a great or a legend so **** it let this one go
You really want this to be true, because it would effectively erase the legitimacy of Cotto's defeat. But, as yet, you have no sure idea how much truth there is to the talk of loaded gloves. It's under investigation.
So you're hoping. But hoping for a scandal like this to be true doesn't really say much about your love of this sport.
If the commision deems what what was going on Margarito's hands was illegal and was giving him a advantage, his legacy will always be questioned and especailly his win over Cotto.
