It doesn't explain how he was able to walk through all of Cottos best shots and not Shanes. Margarito did not have plaster of Paris on his chin.. it's just an observation..

You got me on that one. Cotto is just as good if not stronger when it comes to tossing a p unch. I personally think the fumes from the plaster made its way up margaritos nose and hardened in his head?

what ever everyone thinks, it has tainted my view now of the cotto fight, which is a shame, and there should be a rematch NOT on PPV!

no cotto was not popping marg like mosley was.... cotto has power but you have to remember with SPEED comes POWER.... also, punches you dont see coming hurts you more.... he couldnt see mosley punches coming and was gettin stunned all night

cotto couldnt really get off, he was too much on the defense and when he did land they were not devistating shots

1- The speed of Mosley meant he couldn't see the punches coming as well as he did against Cotto, so they hurt more.

2- All the punishment he took in that fight took it's toll, and weakened Tonys punch resistance in the long run.

Agreed... that's what makes Paulie, Mitchel and Calderon, just to mention a few, devastating punchers...

Those are both good explanations IMO. I was going to chime in with the second. I think the Cotto fight really took a lot out of him. Even though he won, Marg took a hell of a beating in that fight. Mosley is also a lot faster than Cotto, like you said. Marg couldn't land on Shane much.
