Carl Froch Denies Rib Injury, Blasts Team Jermain Taylor

There's no doubt about it now.

Jermaine Taylor is ducking Carl Froch.

Taylor has fought some of the toughest competition out there. He ducks no one.

Taylor fought and beat Hopkins in his 24th fight as a pro.

This is just Carl trying to stir the pot in order to get the fight made before it goes to purse bid, because once it does Taylor's share as the challenger suddenly becomes 30% in which case everyone knows he won't take the fight.

The two sides are in negotiations right now, so for Carl to say that DiBella or Taylor don't want the fight is ridiculous. When they saw the Froch/Pascal fight, the NEXT DAY Taylor called Dibella and said he wanted the fight.

Again, Froch's just stirring ****, which is exactly what I'd be doing if I were him probably.

Carl isn't overly bad in this interview actually, he has a point and hasn't kicked out and gotten that personal over this rumour which many would do.

Not sure where this rumour originally came from, but I find it pretty disappointing so many boxing websites can list it up as a legit reliable article without even a simple thing of checking with the boxers team.

Would be interested as to Taylor's response, especially as his options are getting fewer by the week.

First Andre Ward's name in mentioned with Taylor's, now there's a rumor Jean ****ing Pascal could be in line to fight Taylor.

People on here were even getting excited about Taylor vs Ward, for ****'s sake.

Taylor's last two fights were at SMW.

He's just hammered a Top Ten SMW in Lacy.

It's time he fought the big guns at 168 - Froch or Kessler.

Everyone from Green, Ward, and Bika are calling Taylor out now that he's the top American at 168 (I hadn't heard Pascal).

It's been one sided thus far though, as I haven't seen any mention from Taylor's camp that they are considering fights with these guys. And they shouldn't be.

Everything I've heard from Dibella says they are working on Froch, but that Glen Johnson and Roy Jones have also expressed interest in Taylor. He's not even mentioning the other guy's names. IMO Taylor should forget everyone and focus on exercising his mandatory standing against Froch.

The purse bid is set for Friday. We'll hear team Taylor's response to this before then.

Froch has always ran his mouth, I remember a few years ago when he said in the national papers something along the lines of David Beckham isnt fit to carry my shopping bags! it was quite bizzare as rants go.

Froch is the only big fighter ive ever seen live , as he is is from just down the road in Nottingham, and I do like and rate him, although he has obvious flaws ie he seems to sometimes telegraph his power punches and he seems quite open at times, not so great defensively,he is very strong with a good deal of power and i would say for definate after the Pascal fight a good chin.

Im probably as big a Froch fan as any on here being quite local to him,and having attended several of his fights, but I honestly couldnt see him beating Taylor or Kessler for that matter,and lets be honest i think Carl needs Taylor way more than Taylor needs Carl, in order for him to break America,There are bigger fights for Taylor out there.

The funny thing is Taylor and his team expressed interest in fighting Froch,the only thing that stands in their way is HBO but that contract is up so Showtime will likely take it.

If you're going to buy everything that comes out of Carl Froch's mouth, then you obviously believe that Calzaghe and Kessler are ducking him as well? And that Jean Pascal is a world class fighter?
