    Im from Britan.

Unlike some idiots on this board, i dont look at peoples skin colour, or race or whatever. I look at how they perform in the ring.

Joe has a big stain on British boxing. I mean people despised Hatton at first, but atleast he went Prime v Prime against a "Boxing Legend".

Sure he got KTFO, but he got alot more respect. Calzaghe has never ever been Prime v Prime against a "Boxing Legend". Disgraceful considering he had prime RJJ and prime Hopkins with him, not to mention Tarver and winky etc.

US-finest???? Another reason Joe Calzaghe fans are the most unintelligent boxing fans out there. Yep, the guy that 3 of his last 6 fights(2 of those by ko) and then beat a Tito Trindad who had been out of the ring for years is USAs finest. Spot on dumbass.

Hopkins is the best US fighter

Calzaghe also ended the hype over the next great US fighter, Jeff Lacy

Dawson is the next hypejob but if Calzaghe beats him it will be excuse time all over again, America's last great boxer to come through the ranks was Mayweather and by the look of things it will be that way for a while ( Unless Danny Jacobs fulfills his potential )

What is up with the Calzaghe haters?

I don't understand all the Calzaghe haters. They claim that all he has done is beat up old men. But, when the Pacman beats a fighter who has lost as many fights as he has won since 1999 and is way past his prime and was overrated to begin with, yes I believe Oscar is and was overrated. Now it seems the Pacman can do no wrong and many seem to think he can even walk on water after beating one of the most hyped fighters in my life time.

Apparently, everyone in the U.K. who isn't Calzaghe, sucks to Calzaghe. Meanwhile he fights old fighters and guys like Khan try to get here earlier and Hatton fights prime fighters

hatton fights prime fighters? what all through his career, the only prime fighter he faced battered him

Calzaghe unique and has rare distinction

I wont give Calzaghe credit for being undefeated. So was Pavlik.. then he got exposed. Calzaghe just has never fought a great fighter i.e hall of fame fighter in their prime. Bernard didnt have the punch output and Jones was shot. So he beat some hall of famers who were not in their prime. Yes, I understand Hopkins beat Pavlik.. but Pavlik lacked lateral movement.. got exposed by an old experienced fighter who capitalized on Pavliks fundamental deficiencies. It was not that Hopkins is still at the top of his game. Unfortunately for Calzaghe the only decent fighters considered a threat ie Chad Dawson or Abraham probably doesnt have the recognition to make a big fight or interest Calzaghe. Calzaghe is currently a victiim of circumstance but if fight fans dont give him the respect he feels he deserves he only has himself to blame for not fighting any legends in their prime. Hopkins, Jones, James Toney.. he fought none in their prime. He has *the distinction of being the best fighter to not fight another great figher in their prime. If he has nuts and wants respect he should call out David Haye. Meet him at a catch weight of say 185lbs or fight and beat both Abraham and Dawson convincingly. If not he will retire with an asterick next to his name *the distinction of being the best fighter to not fight another great figher in their prime.

Calzaghe and Mayweather would rather retire undefeated then prove their greatness.

Calzaghe and Mayweather would rather retire undefeated then fight the best to prove their greatness. Being undefeated doesnt make you the best or the greatest... to be the best you have to beat the best. Now if you fight the best and beat the best and remain undefeateed then you are special.. but even the greatest (Ali) didnt do that. People dont care if you lose.. people want to see a warrior who wants to fight and beat the best. Cotto for example got his ass whupped.. but he went out on his shield.. it took something special to beat him.. but Cotto is a true champion because he will fight anybody they put in front of him. Unlike Calzaghe and Mayweather who talk about being the best instead of fighting and beating the best. Paul Williams is another fighter who will fight anybody, anywhere at any time. Abraham will fight any body, Pacquaio will fight any body. These are champs.. not paper champs who have talent but not the desire or competitive juice to fight the best to prove they are the best.

How Calzaghe can prove he is the best

Joe we are not convinced. When you look at other greats Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Sugar Ray, Hagler, Hearns... they convinced us by beating the best. If you want to prove you are the best then fight a threat. David Haye, Abraham, Chad Dawson or the winner of Williams and Winky Wright for your farewell fight. Let your nuts hang. You tried to let your nuts hang against Roy Jones but Jones was shot. Have some balls. Beat Dawsons ass... be the man. Dont let your career be fraud. Line em up and put em down. You actually probably have the heart to do it but do you have the confidence in your unorthodox skills? We know you got flaws which both Jones and Hopkins showed but your heart got you past that. It took fighting them for people to see that its more than your unorthodox skills that makes you special. You need to fight Dawson to bring out the best in you.. to show everyone why you are the best. Like Ali did against Foreman. Show you are the best OR die with questions about if you really were the best or not.

Calzaghe Vs Haye? I doubt Haye could even come close to getting down to 185lbs now buddy, and if by some miracle they did meet I also think Haye's punching power would be too much for Calzaghe even with his granite (although deteriorating with age) chin - he's just too big. Dawson would be interesting, I just wonder if enough money's there to interest him. As for Abraham, too much risk too little reward - as has been said Calzaghe doeesn't want to risk his unbeaten streak and I think he'd view Abraham as a risk as he likely does Hopkins. Saying that, for me Calzaghe will either fight Hopkins in Wales, fight Dawson in America, or retire this year.
