2 way Mosley vs margarito can play out my views

One way is much like the Cotto match where Mosley is boxing and moving around the perimeter. Well this is the way most people see it except me I don't see Mosley as much of a boxer style. i see Mosley trying to move but not fighting as much off the riopes like Cotto. Moving and circling to his left away from margarito's left hook. Margarito is slow much like Baldomir and throws wide looping punches from all different angles. Miosley has to fight much like he did against Cotto in the second half of their fight backing Margarito up. many don't belive that Margarito can be hurt or backed up. Mosley has fought at 154 and in his two fights against Vargas who fought at 160 he was able to impose his jab and back Vargas up.

So two ways I see this fight one is much the same way the fight with Cotto and Margarito went Mosley trying to box and backing up fighting off the ropes trying to avoid standing still and exchanging with margarito....Mosley would lose this fight much the same way Cotto did if not on point s he would be TKO;s the moving and use if his energy trying to avoid Margarito would combine with the punishment delt by margarito would be Mosley's demise

The other is Mosey using his jab circling Margarito staying in the center of the ring and trying to back up margarito. Mosley has been in there with bigger men then Cotto and beat opponents at 154. If he can circle and eventually back Margarito up with body punishment combined with some use of his jab early on like he did in the Vargas fight I think Mosley can win.....Lefty

Like I said, before, if Mosley brings the same energy he brought for the Cotto fight, he will do good(That doesnt mean he will win). Now if he comes like in the Mayorga fight, he will get starched!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen Mosley use his jab effectively in a long time. He doesn't have a very good one at that.

But I do think it's possible that he wins. Straight up, if you make it to the final bell, you can beat Tony. Mosley knows how to use the ring, he's not such a fluid boxer, but he's a veteran. He WILL win rounds, everyone knows that. So if he can manage to make the final bell, he's got a shot.

However, I agree with you thinking it's going to look like the Cotto fight. Tony will win the last...I don't know, 4 rounds. But Mosley will make the final bell I believe. I think it'll be a Tony UD.

OK, we know who wrote the post so the "lefty" at the end of each one is annoying.

Mosley CANNOT try and back Margarito up, that would be the dumbest thing he could ever do. Margarito is bigger and stronger with a much better chin than Cotto and Cotto muscled Mosley in their fight....not a good strategy.

If you are smaller than Margarito, then there's only one thing you can do, move. The way you beat Marg is by moving, moving and moving some more. you will have to be in the best shape of your life because you will have to be moving non stop for 12 rounds.

No one of Mosely's size will be able to stand and trade with Marg for a very long time.

He jabbed Vargas pretty good closed that eye up on him. he may not have a great jab but he has one and he can use it against Tony I saw Cotto snapping back Tony's head with the quick one two. I think Mosley will be able to hit him with that and over hand rights. He will be able to tie Margarito upa nd use the center of the ring. If he can do that he can win. If he stay around the perimeter then he will be stuck on the ropes and be in trouble. Fact is he can win this fight and anyone who says he cannot win is wrong...Lefty

The point is if he can survive, even my 12 year nephew can hit Margarito fairly easy. Everybody can mount a offense on Margarito, the point is if you can survive the 12 rounds with not getting hit that much yourself. Wich I think Mosley can, but he wont IMO!!!!!!!!!!

the best tway to stop a puncher is too back him up and move side to side or circle him. If you get a power punching maniac like Margarito backing up most of the time he doesnt know how to fight going back wards. Lean on him try to push him to the ropes. It can be done anything can be done. The much smaller Tyson backed up 99% of his oppnents the few that were able to back him up beat him. us ehte jab back him up dont allow him to set his feet and tie him up when need be and you can beat Margarito...Lefty

P.S I stopped typing Lefty after all my posts and people asked me why I stopped it was like my trade mark or something. Sorry if it bothers you

I was just messing with you with the "Lefty" thing.

Yes I understand your logic but that logic applies if you are strong enough to carry that game plan out. I think Cotto is stronger and hits harder than Mosley and couldn't fend off Marg, why would you think Mosley can do this?

As far as the Tyson compairison, Tyson even though was 5'10-11" was much stronger than most of his opponents. He also had a devastating punch that would cause any man to go backwards when he came forward with those winging punches, Mosley can't hurt Marg with onr punch like that.

I think Mosley loses by KO to be honest but if he does fight the perfect fight, he should move, hold when inside and NOT trade with Margarito. Keep Marg chasing him all night and pick him off with shots from the outside even if he's the smaller man. Because Marg doesn't use his size to his advantage very well yet is a very good in fighter for being so tall and lanky.
