I didnt mention memorable. But ok, in boxing terms an exciting, memorable fight would involve drama. Floyd is almost too clinical even when he does unload and KO an opponent.

I have been very impressed with his skills and at times his punches, but his fights, especially the big hype jobs against Hatton and Oscar were let downs. And that was mainly because of Floyds safety first style.

Jones may have dominated his opponents, but his offensive style was very entertaining. A KO could happen at any time with almost any punch.

With Floyd i never got that impression. People like Pac and Hatton break up their opponents, but are also vunerable to being hit and hurt. They put themselves in danger.

Which one? 97 or 2001? And no i havent, i must try to get it. Its being mentioned alot here.
            Still a long time ago.
But i didnt say he has NEVER been in a exciting fight. I said not too many considering he is arguably a ATG.

Also, that he is very good etc etc, just not that exciting, unless ur a fan of his style.

One fight i thought was entertaing was N'Dou. Although still basically a one-sided fight.

If Floyd had lost to De La Hoya and Hatton you'd be hear saying Floyd fought the hardest test and lost... Theres no point discussing this with guys like yourself as you think nothing of his opponents. People seem to forget the significant weight disadvantage Floyd had when he faced Oscar.

              - no I wouldn't have, you seem not to know of me on here son I don't do those, I know fighters so win/lose or draw I can pin point the better fighter, I would have said it how it was and that's that he lost to a lesser Boxer. I ain't no **** rider dogz so honestly speaking I would have called it properly. also people think I have a problem with a guy taking a fight for money, hell no I don't but c'mon man fight the other fights too, the real ones man. even fough his Gomez's and if that could have been Oscar then so be it but if after Oscar they threw Tony he would take it, my problem with Floyd is that I know he wouldn't he would look for yet another easy fight and when his choices ran out he retired. not even half the people who bought the 1st would have bought the 2nd one and a Hatton rematch would just have made no sense so instead of fighting Cotto in the garden for a few mil or fighting Mosley in the Mandalay Bay he chose to retire, no more cash cows so no more point in fighting and I don't respect that **** coming from someone who blatantly ranks himself among champion fighters who took on all opponents, it's a slap to the face for true Boxing fans the way that the most skilled Boxer of all comes in and straight disrespects the fans by feeding us bull**** and expecting the whole world to finish the plate, or even start to eat for that matter..

you say Floyd should have fought Cotto before Oscar... You've got to be serious. And please dont compare the Judah that Cotto fought to the one Floyd fought... Judah was out for like a year and during the Cotto fight, Judah was going through a divorce with his wife. And had'nt Cotto kept low blowing Judah, who knows how the fight could have turned out?

              - EXCUSES.. there was NO difference, to say that there was is to be unfair because that's like saying I hit you but you can't hit me, that Floyd could face a battle scarred Judah, 1 whom had been knocked out before, 1 who had lost to a complete unknown with like 9 or 10 losses prior to his fight with Floyd and was basically the same man in both fights in both Floyd and Cotto and people want to make it excusable for Floyd fighting him and then bash Cotto for it. it's a **** rider thing because Zab himself said he would be in the best shape of his life, that in "his mind" this was his last chance and a good one to beat Cotto and come back strong, he even performed in that way by hurting Cotto and nearly dropping him JUST as he dropped Floyd a year before, all in all it's a bull**** cop out to try and justify Floyd taking on a meaningless fight and bash Cotto for taking one that at the time made a lot of sense for him. these are clear excuses from you because what is it, he wasn't the same or he got low blowed? these are random things said to take credit from Miguel who on that day was taking a step up in class who as opposed to Mayweather just 1 year prior took a step down in class by fighting Judah..

Oh yeh, Floyd apparently bypassed the 'biggest' fights... Cotto, Margarito and Mosley... none of these fights are bigger than Floyd vs Oscar. The only guy Floyd should have faced was Margarito... A Floyd fight was offered to Cotto at light welter but was refused.

              - yea you're 100% right, but only if you're a sell out who doesn't give a **** about what the fans want who pay to see you, when you looking for the least risk for the most money and then walk away when there's no more easy but passable bait available then of course Oscar is a bigger fight but when you give the people who pay your bills the fights they want to see and conduct yourself as a true champion, fight everyone that anybody thinks can beat you then NO Oscar ISN'T the biggest fight for you because nobody had many doubts that Floyd would win, I sure as hell didn't. but he took it anyway and NOT because if he really wanted to win a belt in another weight class against a champion who was currently on his level he would have fought a different champion, he went up there for $$$ strictly and NOT glory because if it wasn't a fight with De La Hoya he would never have moved up, he wouldn't have fought a good Vernon Forrest for HIS belt but he would fight a washed up fighter who only had his name to offer in the fight, truth is the title didn't matter because had he not had that easy fight to cherry pick he wouldn't ever have gone to 154..

also answer me this, how is it that you are willing to face Cotto at 140 where he was CLEARLY killing himself to make weight, he would have made chump change for the fight and Cotto was still unpolished at least compared to what he is today, you mean to tell me he is willing to fight him for peanuts when he is barely making a solid name for himself as some regular contender killing himself to make weight to a point where his mouth is wide open but you wouldn't face him as a champion at his most comfortable and strong weight after proving to the Boxing world what he can do, after building a fan base so that he could have generated millions and been a hard opponent who'd bring you a fight but you would face him at a lower weight where he is clearly not the same for fractions less of what you would have made with him in today's day and age and then have the nerve to think people are ****** enough not to see right threw him when he says money is the reason he didn't face Cotto when he was willing to fight him for a whole lot less yet with a substantial difference in overall ability, where he would have been a walk in the park but once he proves himself and showed what he can do suddenly he needs more money? so you was down to fight him at his weak weight but when the time arises for you to face a healthy and ready Cotto who at the time was an undefeated champion you start talking **** about money? justify that one buddy because I see no justification

You obviously think nothing of Floyd as a fighter, hence why you proberbly wont even care what i've written.

-Contrary to what you saying I enjoy watching Mayweather fight, I even lost my voice cheering for him in a bar full of people rooting for Hatton, what I feel is disappointment in Floyd for not putting better use to his skills, that at least if you gonna pop shot and pitter pat then float to a win at least do it against the best and don't sit here and yank the money out of our hands, the fans who dead ass believed you would regulate like you did at 130 and had that thought for you. he's too skilled to be inactive man, Boxing is a mans sports dogz Arthur Abraham handed Edison Miranda his 1st loss with a broken jaw, Roy Jones beat Bernard Hopkins with an injured right hand and to uphold their status at each respective time they had to endure and overcome, Floyd is a fighter too and he shouldn't be spared of the same responsibility because once you reach a certain juncture THAT'S what it takes to remain on top but if you coppin out everytime when talks of a real fight happens and then jump up for the mismatches you taint your own legacy, not me ***** YOU.. u understand now? I KNOW Floyd is probably the most skilled fighter in the world for the last decade but what the **** is being skilled worth when you aren't facing the men who can truly put those skills to the test?

And a Mosley match was never even mentioned. You cant blame Floyd for a Mosley fight not happening... It takes two fighters to agree on a fight. Did Mosley ever approach Floyd about a possible match? Did Cotto ever approach Floyd about a possible match? No... so how can you blame Floyd for not fighting them when they never went looking for the fights?

The only guy that did was Margarito... hence why Floyd should have faced him.
dogz the claim ain't about Floyd when he beat Mitchell it's the fact that Mitchell is a pointless fight, it ain't so much that he had to fight Cotto but damn at least someone better than Mitchell, someone who had at least something left in his tank u know.. and of course the fight was offered at Light Welterweight but why wasn't an offer made after Cotto had something to bring to the dance? why didn't he offer a fight to Cotto after Cotto beat Mosley? why didn't he offer him a fight when he became a recognized Welterweight champion who was undefeated? why didn't he face him after Hatton and instead chose to sign an Oscar rematch which he didn't even go threw with... Cotto may have not called for the fight but his people did and just about any fan of Boxing in any sense called for it too, not to mention he gets to **** over Bob Arum by crushing his biggest money maker besides Pacquiao, right? wrong, the ***** still chose a different route..

people actually had nerve saying that he didn't fight Cotto because he didn't want to do business with Bob Arum yet at 140 while under Arum he makes an offer to fight, it also so happens to be that Cotto wasn't half the fighter he was then as he is now and he would not have generated as much as he would too, there would also be not so much to gain by beating him so early because the world didn't really feel him yet, you'd fight him then for peanuts but then you wont fight him at his best? and you call that a champion man? his skills speak for themselves but even with those skills I'd respect a guy like Manny Pacquiao over him any day because although there is a substantial difference in skills between the 2 when it came time for Manny to face a big name he came and brought it all, he avoided no one and has come up from 108 pounds to beat a former Middleweight champion senselessly, THAT'S a true warrior, he loves his family, he cares for his children, people and country but when it comes time to face the other threats he stood up to fight he didn't find any little reason, especially something like money come in between him and the fight.

and FYI Mosley BEEN calling him out, Floyd and him had a agreement but Shane's tooth was ****ed up and he needed. of all times you could have picked to challenge shane Mosley you pick a time where you KNEW he couldn't accept the fight, then got on your now or never high horse and avoided any further talks about a Shane fight. he got mad enough to beat the **** out of mismatched Hatton for 1 little slick remark he made after beating Castillo but Mosley whom had been calling him out for years gets no attention, even went as far as saying Floyd is scared to fight him but Hatton gets a fight? it's inexcusable and you can talk about his skills all you want, I'd be the 1ST ***** to credit his superior skills but I'm all about truth so even though his skills get respect from me his choices don't because he sold out. he didn't give a **** about the 154 pound crown he just wanted the money because had Oscar became a bloat who could only make 175 or something he wouldn't have went for that 154 pound title, he only did it because Oscar happened to be the biggest money fight for the lesser risk not because he wanted to win a belt in a 5th class, the 5th weight class he won a belt at was more like icing on the cake instead of the actual cake and the cake is the money, a topping on his pizza that even without the topping it was a pizza he was already set to eat, it only tastes better now but it's still a very ****ty thing to do especially in light of all the past champions who fearlessly gave Floyd his deserved shot, now HE is the big man and he isn't doing the same..

i see it like this, when Mayweathers promoters offered Cotto & Mosely a fight in the lower weight classes, he was still making a name for himself, and now he is top dog money wise, they all want to fight him and there aint no sign of tooth ache (mosely-i duno if thats tru its what i heard) All mayweather did was want to fight De La Hoya for the big pay day and when it was signed, he did not carre about weight, gloves, or anything cause he got the fight he finally wanted.

You'd have to fight a very good fight to beat Mayweather, but the point is he can be beaten, he isn't invincible. And even though Mayweather would be the favorite, I wouldn't be surprised if Margarito, Cotto or even Pacquiao manages to beat him, not saying they will but it just wouldn't shock me.
