Honestly, despite many hating on Miguel Angel Cotto, I still think he is one of the best welterweights. He's never ducked any opponent that came his way. He beat Mallinaggi, Quintana, Judah, Mosley (although I had Mosley winning but it was very close), it's just he couldn't get the job done with Margarito despite landing some very hard blows. He has fought some of the top guys and it would be astounding for anyone to question his resume. He called Mayweather out but Mayweather obviously didn't want much to do with him at the time. He is a great pressure fighter, a great power puncher and a great boxer overall. I think lately, much more respect should be shown to him than what he has been given. He lost to a great and in-shape fighter in Margarito. It wasn't Cotto who was inneffective but rather Margarito who was effective and he had an iron chin. Without the chin, many question whether he or anyone else could've taken those punches. The only one close to it was Mosley who had such great heart. Show some respect to Cotto. He's still a top welterweight folks...

Great, is greatly overstating Cotto's position. He certainly has the potential to be great, its just too early to label him that.
