why do people think bruce lee is such a badass if he's never had any fights on video?

Hey. Don't take this thread the wrong way. I respect Bruce Lee, I just don't understand how people think he was such a badass, if the dude never had any televised fights...Feel free to prove me wrong.

Precisely that reason, because his fights are not on video it's allowed for rampant speculation. If they were on video i'm pretty sure it'd show some of his weaknesses.

bruce lee's type of fighting is not for sport fighting or fighting in a cage with rules. his techniques were to defend yourself and hurt people with minimum attacks. wonder why there's a lot of martial arts today but the deadly ones are not applied to mma or boxing? wonder why theres no fights in the ring using nun chucks, samurai, sticks etc.? it's because what he practices even in hand to hand combat are deadly. therefore, it would be a complete waste if he would fight in the ring controlling what he has trained for. it's kinda like going to war but instead of killing ur opponent u have to shout "freeze mother****er"

Haha the guy is blown way out of proportion.

It's kinda like me saying their was a kid in Argentina who was a more skilled footballer than Maradona but he only ever played in the streets, never turning pro but was definetly superior. But in reality, he would never of been up against opposition anything like what Maradona was facing at the world cup and such and could probably not perform at that level.
