Washington was, admittedly, elected for his bull**** reputation as a war hero. People over glorified him, when he literally did next to nothing. So by your standard ar eyou saying that's true of Bruce as well? Being glorified by those around him for literally having done nothing at all?

I heard the guy was in cameo roles from age three, that hardly sounds like 'growing up tough on the streets'

little to no fighting background??? um....he's internationally renowned by every martial arts organization known to man. And was largely accreditted by UFC and Pride as the father of mixed martial arts. Trained a hollywood actor with no prior fighting experience to become full contact karate world champion 12yrs in a row.

We aren't talking about his bringing Martial Arts teachings to the states. We're talking about him being regarded as a tough guy in general, by a bunch of people that I know....and without having seen him fight, at all, in my opinion it's silly to do that...Ya see I'm a firm believer of the phrase 'actions speak louder than words', and I haven't seen any actions from Bruce Lee....We have film on Jack Dempsey, ****, I even seen some film of Harry Greb sparring but we don't have any highlights of Lee putting the Tszyu mix on someone? Wtf. In that movie, 'Enter the Dragon' he was in multiple fights in a ring environment, I suppose nobody had a damn camera or anything in the 100's of people in the crowd? When he fought that guy who was like , 'I beat him before! I BEAT HIM AGAIN' ...IMO it's just Hollywood bull****ting, someone in the crowd would've had a camera and taken a picture of him putting the Tszyu mix on someone.

If he was full contact champion of anything credible, there should be some kind of footage, or photographs, of him putting the Tszyu mix on SOMEONE.

How many professional fights did he have? Not counting those 5 back alley scraps.

The training thing sounds good, and he is the godfather of MMA. But what was his actual professional record? Not the guys he trained.

No I am saying just because Bruce Lee never took part in any organized "match" does not disprove his ability. His accreditations speak for themselves.

Just as even though Washington in fact played a very minor role in the revolutionary war...It still remained that very few people at the time were any more qualified to be the 1st president of the country than George Washington.

How the **** is he the godfather of MMA, if the guy never had a fight. MMA is a fighting sport. That's like saying Jean Claude Van Damme is the godfather of Boxing.
