Advice on going to Vegas for a fight

I thought i may make the trip over to watch Pac-Hatton, it'll be my first fight EVER!

Anyone know how much ticket prices usually are? How pricey do they get?

Any other info would be helpful, like hotels etc.

Watching a fight live is the greatest sports event you can watch live. And watching a fight in vegas is like nothing else. The atmosphere for that fight will be ridiculous. Both Mandalay and MGM are pretty small so getting the cheap tickets is not that big of a deal. You'll still get a great view. If the fight lands at Thomas and Mack, get good seats cuz its huge and has rafters that can interfere with your view. Don't get too wasted before the fight cuz there's gonna be a lot of drunk clowns and you wanna be kinda sober if **** goes down.

      Want some advice?

Keep your bags close to you and always wear a condom, even if she says she's allergic to latex. That's their trick.

Cheapest $395, although if you feel like splashing out the front row looks like excellent value at $25,000. Cough...

Especially not for a big fight, where it'll be packed. For a fight with a dead audience, you can buy a cheapo ticket and then just walk down. If the ushers give you any guff, tell them that your presence closer to the ring creates the impression that the arena is more filled than it really is, thereby creating a symbiotic benefit between the venue, promoters and fans.

            Works like a charm.

It's a blast!!! Definitely go with some friends. I'm thinking of going to the fight myself just to be in the insane atmosphere. If you need advice on hotels or good deals hit me up come fight time, I can generally get you a decent room at a nice hotel close to the fight for a good price.

I've been to a ton of big fights in Vegas. If the fight happens at the MGM Grand you will be fine being in the second level. The MGM is not huge and if you are towards the front of the second level you will be able to see just fine. A big fight like that I would say expect to pay about 300 bucks for that kind of seat(the more you spend after that the better your view will be). Boxing isn't cheap but it is a hell of a good time and I have never regretted attending any of the fights I have seen. As for Vegas, since it's your first time you have got to go. Everyone should go to Vegas atleast once. Make sure you have money and a lot of it.

As for hotels you can get some real nice prices on the strip. It just depends honestly what you are looking for. If all you care about is getting a room on the strip go with the Imperial Palace. You can get a room for about 60 bucks a night there and you are right in the middle of it all. If you want a nice hotel though I would book right now, you can get some great deal for CP if you book early.

So i guess il keep my fingers crossed it not at Thomas and Mack. I dont mind paying to get near the front, but it depends on who goes with me.

Id rather my first fight be a biggy. And i havent paid to watch a fight in years, so i guess i owe the sport somthing.

Although the atmosphere is great for a fight, the view is far from it.

Unless you're willing to spend a good amount of money (Think $1,000+) you're probably not going to be able to very good seats.

I was at the De la Hoya - Pacquiao fight, and was sitting in the $1,500 seats, and for the price, you'd think you would get a pretty good view of what's going on, but thats not exactly the case.

If you don't mind not having the greatest view, and just want to be there for the atmosphere...then its well worth the money! Its an electric experience to be honest...not just at the fight, but all throughout Vegas for the entire weekend. The hype seems to fill the air, everywhere you go.

For mega fights like the Hatton-Pacquiao fight.

Don't expect to be able to purchase any tickets from Ticketmaster under $750 on the day they go on sale. Plus, they'll probably only have 500 available to the public, and the rest will go to corporate interests and ticket brokers (who will sell these tickets for 3 and 4 times the face value of the seats. )

As far as Hotels go, its the Strip, which consists entirely of hotels, from cheap places just to stay like the Tropicana, Excalibur, Imperial Palace, and Casino Royale...

To bigger more upscale places like The Venetian (my personal favorite), The Palazzo, Bellagio, and The Wynn..

If you've never been there or don't go often, it might be worth it to splurge to make the whole experience that much better.

Usually the earlier you book the better. This is especially true when you're talking about airline flights. I would recommend buying now, as fares are a little bit cheaper at the moment with fuel prices so low, but that will be much different, come spring and summer.

Good luck ! I'll be out in Vegas for the fight as well !
