Had Cotto went another round, he would have lost on the scorecards.

If Tony didn't have his incredible chin, he'd probably have a different attribute to make up for it, like speed. You can't just take one away without giving another back.
I thought Cotto was up up 3-2 at the start of the 6th round, after that it was over for Cotto, his will was broke, his body was shot and his face was swollen and bruised, yes Cotto was boxing Margarito very well to begin with, BUT, Margarito's will, granite chin and hard knocks nearly cost Cotto his career had he still fought instead of his corner throwing in the towel.

All i know is that Marg better not take Mosely lightly because i'd like to see Marg/Cotto II.

And Marg better be ready to see a different look in the rematch because Cotto threw the ****in book at Marg and couldnt hurt him, so you know Cotto will be bringin a new game plan.....

I still see Marg with a horrendous KO in part 2 tho!!!!

I had the fight 5-5 rounds going into the 11th round..Margarito would have won a UD even if he didnt knock cotto down.

        what kinda thread is this?
My point is, having a great chin is not something u can learn, nor is it a skill. SO....Could Marg be where he is today based on just pure skill and boxing ability?

This fight was somewhat similar to Chavez-Taylor to a lesser extent. One guy was faster, threw better combinations, and had better defense. The other guy just kept coming forward and dished out quiet punishment until the other guy couldn't take it anymore. Margs is Chavez, Cotto is Meldrick Taylor, with one exception.

Cotto will have his day again.

I disagree! First let me say that im a fan of both fighters. Cotto landed the much better, cleaner, crisper punches/combos. The only difference was, Marg was able to take Cotto's punches better than Cotto was able to take his.

                    i guess so

its not like Miguel can control what his corner does, they felt the fight needed to be stopped but at no point did he quit

I don't forget that, just like I don't forget that none of those fighters were in their primes either at the time they quit.
