At least he didn't have to move up 3 divisions and fight a giant and fight 140 linear champ Hatton..Last edited by MakeDamnSure; 12-13-2008, 05:56 AM.

Anyway, while I would rather see Marquez face Campbell and have a big unification fight, a fight against Diaz could be fantastic. I think Marquez will have a very hard time with Diaz. He is very strong and throws non stop, and with Marquez starting to show his age it won't help at all.
He may be able to out-box him and use his counter punching but he will also have to get in and fight at some point, much like Campbell did against Diaz. It will be a good, hard fight that could go either way. Hopefully, if Marquez wins this and Campbell beats Funeka, it would make the follow up fight definite. Marquez vs Campbell would be huge and one of the best fights that could be made today. If Marquez could beat Diaz and Campbell that would be one hell of a way to top off a mighty fine career from one of the best boxers of this generation.

See, you're just looking at this from the wrong perspective. Pointlessly bagging Marquez for taking on Barerra, Juarez or Casamayor but loving Pac for doing the same thing is a little foolish don't you think? I think both fighters are great, and both are also taking good, hard fights. The fact Casa won a BS decision against Cruz doesn't change the fact that he had not lost in a long time and came back from that dodgy decision with a huge win over a young undefeated prospect. He was considered the the true lightweight champ and Marquez beat him brilliantly. Having one bad fight after beating Corrales, Pearson and coming back to form beating Katsidis is better than losing the majority of your fights and having only fought part time for about four years. I don't see what you're whining about to be honest. He was much more live than Oscar was.
Explain to me the difference in you saying that Marquez is **** for taking on Casa because he was supposedly old, inactive and shot, when, for a fact, he hadn't actually lost a fight in four years, apart from the BS decision against Cruz and had won his recent most recent fights brilliantly by KO, whereas the guy you keep propping up fought someone who had lost the majority of his last 6 fights and had only fought three times in the last four years? How is it that you can say one is bad but not the other?
Unlike you, I'm just not blinded.

i think juan diaz will beat jmm, for some reason age will be a factor in this one. jmm i think cannot fight in the inside like juan diaz. marquez style gives the pacman problems but i think it only affects the pacman, other fighters would beat him, example chris john. thats y he is so persistent in pursuing the pacman, his legacy is built on fighting pacquiao. no one knew him except for some mexicans before the pac fight.

He was one true LW champ in the past.. Then Sta. Cruz should be the champ then.. I forgot instead of a rematch with Pac and a Fight with Morales, I go to Indonesia for 30k dollars.

I'm not sure why you mention Hatton, last I checked, Pac hadn't even signed to fight him, let alone actually beaten him.
JMM stepped up in weight to challenge Barrera. Pac stepped up in weight to fight David Diaz. I know which impressed me more, but whatever...
If we're talking about shot fighters and inactivity, Pac's last opponent matches that description just as well as Casamayor does, if not better. The JMM fight was Casamayor's third in the space of 10 months.
Oh and by the way, when are you going to pay people all those points that you owe them? And when are you going to stop using your Sonic Flood alt to troll NSB with ******ed anti-Mexican threads?
