I fall into this same trap sometimes so I'm with a group as well.
I suck too sometimes
NO LEGS = SHOT
Glad to see Freddie point that out.
Weight loss has a lot to do with this as well
its crazy because i honestly thought that roach was just running his mouth for the sake of promotion, i was always thinking why a guy like roach would say something like this, but he knew. he knew when it was tysons time, and he knew when it was DLH's time. Hell, he knew when it was his own time when he fought. its sad to hear dlh say it, its the truth but, it always hurts when a great fighters career is over, because unlike team sports, there is no rebuilding and retooling, with great fighters once they are gone, they are gone.

To all the haters out there. Come on. Give it a rest. We are all human. Open your mind and look at the bigger picture. Do you really want to live in a small world full of ignorance and anger? Are you really happy being like that? One love! and I mean that with all sincerity. You want to talk about keeping it real, well this is real! There are great fighters out there of many different ethnicities. Barerra and Morales are among my favourites and so is Pacquaio not because of where they come from but because of what they represent. Heart, courage, will, skill, power.....they have all contributed to boxing in a big way. No matter what you say you can't take this away from him or his fans. If you look at the recent past it has been a great time to be a Manny Pacuqiao fan. He has proven himself on so many occasions. Fighting the best and moving up in weight and taking on legitimate challenges. I can't think of any other fighter I would rather be a fan of right now. He has consistently had amazing fights and proven himself. Pacquaio has provided us with alot to be happy and excited about. Don't hate because we're happy! All I have to say is thank you Manny for the entertainment and inspiration.

Freddie was making sure everything was in his advantages and a big part of it was having Oscar make 147 after 6 or 7 years away from his last fight at that weight. Age, inactivity, worn torn shoulder; trying to make weight…against a young, hungry, active, healthy fighter was what Freddie saw. I thought it was starting to look like Hatton vs. Tszyu but I wasn’t positive this would be it. I said don’t be surprised if Oscar shows up flat…but that was me saying it’s happened before and I didn’t understand why more people weren’t talking about it like Freddie was talking about it.
I hope Freddie stays on this mind-level and never lets his ego get to big...I want him to know that once he sees Manny slip, to tell Manny to hang them up.
I also like that Freddie worries about Manny being "to nice" with his money and I hope Manny is taking that advice.
Freddie was able to commit to his instincts because he mapped out all the circumstances and possibilities...playing them out in his mind over and over and each time; Manny won the fight.
Freddie took a calculated risk. Life’s about risks.
I really want to hear what he says about a possible fight with Floyd.
Personally, I think Pac has a chance; at least a better chance now than ever before. If this was Pac vs. Floyd at lightweight, prime vs. prime....it's all Floyd (as long as he isn't injured...Castillo 1). Or the Floyd that had a short stay at 140; all Floyd.
But the way Floyd has been fighting when he moved up to 147, and his changed Mentality, unless he can get it back to what he was below that weight class...with the year+ layoff and being over 30; Pac has greater odds than ever before.
If I were Freddie I would try to make the fight but make it at 140. Make Floyd drain himself to make weight at 140.
If I were Floyd, I wouldn't fight at 140 but at 147. Also hiring top pro boxers to test you to see where everything is at; and act like it's a fight and not just sparring. Train for a couple months prior to this of course.
I'm not sold on Floyd right now.
