    Valero Claims That He Busted De La Hoya Up in Camp

    Some very surprising twists in Las Vegas. Former super featherweight champion and current lightweight contender, Edwin Valero (24-0, 24KOs), claims that he busted up Oscar De La Hoya during their sparring session in Big Bear, California. Valero was brought in as a sparring partner to help De La Hoya prepare for Manny Pacquiao. Valero almost lashed out at De La Hoya while speaking to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, claiming that Oscar lied about who gave him a black eye, lied about his level of training and even predicted a knockout win for Pacquiao.       Where did Oscar get that black eye from? I think I saw it in one of the 24/7 episodes... I guess this explains alot.

          regardless of what valero claims, DLH made the weight so he must of been working hard cause he looked good in the wiegh in. Maybe valero just wants a piece of osccar, which will never happen.

              i think valero is just trying to get himself on the news.

              who knows if it's true or not though.

              ortiz is golden boy though. makes sense for gbp to say it was him that gave oscar a black eye.

                Maybe you're right, Valero is just trying to get his name out there, weird that Valero would say this though because I think there were talks of him signing with GBP which would have opened avenues for him to fight in the US, this could have ruined his possibilities.

                Or he has signed with GBP and they haven't announced it yet and Valero is just trying to get a headline.

                  unless...... this is his first duty as a gbp fighter.

                  who knows? hopefully it's true.

                  maybe it means manny has a chance. oscar coming in at 145 and manny coming in way short of 147 is a good sign though.

                  maybe oscar was too concerned with losing weight. maybe being the same size he was during the diaz fight will keep manny's speed.

                  i hope so...... i want to see ricky-manny. especially after seeing them stand next to each other today.

                  ricky and manny are the perfect size for each other. manny is longer but ricky is thicker. manny has the speed , ricky has the strength.

                  i'd rather see that than ricky-oscar.
