    floyd throws alot of elbows.

I'm watching the hatton fight, and i noticed that ****.whenever an opponent gets him against the ropes he throws elbows to get him off.tito use to do that **** tobut he use to lob his opponents head up like a pitch then he'd throw his right hand.seriously.i don't wanna hear any of cotto's detractors talk about fighting dirty.countless fighters got the dirty streak in them.chavez, hopkins, calzaghe,hatton,lewis,tyson,holyfield............. ...etc...........

Yeah, I noticed Floyd throwing a few punches that contained a bit of questionable elbow contact. It is all part of it though, you do what you can get away with.

I don't believe Cotto is a dirty fighter at all. He is a guy who is committed to body punching who occasionally gets it wrong.

I remember Jermain Taylor giving Pavlik a wicked elbow/forearm in their first fight. That one's kinda blatant, Mayweather uses his more for defensive purposes and to create space.

yeah, I always laugh when *****s call Cotto dirty.
I never seen Cotto hold anyone head down to the floor and punch him though like their "savior" has done though.

Yea, people who say Cotto's a dirty fighter are ridiculous. He's a body puncher...thats going to happen. Torres milked them, Judah milked the first one. The second one was bad, but Cotto wasn't even in trouble, it was clearly just a stray body shot.

People need to understand that when you throw a body punch with true commitment there is always a greater chance that circumstances will change in the process of the punch being thrown that may result in it unintentionally creeping low.

There are also two other things that count against Miguel:
            1) His body punches truly hurt ppl so they look for any way they can to make them stop, including complaining to the referee unnecessarily (see Torres)
            2) He has a reputation and the fighters and referees no about it which can lead to fighters overexaggerating the impact of a low or belt blow to attempt to disrupt Miguel's fight plan or even see him deducted of a point (see Judah).

That is my take on it anyway.

Yeah....he did it a lot in the Castillo fights too. Using his elbow to push his opponent off from pressuring him. Smart if you can get away with it I guess

Yeah, Floyd is an expert at using his elbows both for defensive purposes and to create space for his offence. Not technically legal but it is a fight in there, you just gotta do what you can.

I don't think he flagrantly fouls wit elbows, but he does use em for defense.
