Not sure why there is so much shock. Didn't Pavlik get a few million for Gary Lockett. Jennings may last longer.

I don't know how much Pavlik got, you'd probably know better than me. I'm not mad at Cotto by any means. In fact, good for him for getting himself a nice contract with that minimum purse amount per fight.

So you think Jennings will last longer than Lockett did against Pavlik then? I've never seen him fight, do you see anything in him that might give Cotto problems???

That's what sucks about it. Hopefully it's 34.99 since it's an Independent PPV and Arum wont need a lot to break even.

after getting koed he shouldnt be fighting for any title unless he fighting an immediate rematch with the guy that took his title..

im not surprised i said form jump he was going to end up fighting Jennings or some other unknown fighter.. clottey was too much of a risk, cintron was too much of a risk, berto was too much of a risk, and there was no way in hell cotto would fight williams yet he is getting a title shot for william's wbo belt?..

the sad thing he gets to take these cupcake matches and he still gets praised.. i thought gomez was bad enough.. and cotto would be favored to win against berto and cintron, and probably clottey, even though i think clottey would beat cotto.. hopefully for his sake he can destroy Jennings because if he somehow loses to him, cotto's career is over..

Mosley's not a tuneup fight, Jennings is...Margarito is the champ. Didn't Cotto fight Judah and Mosley back to back? Margarito is looking to make big money, so he's fighting Mosley. Cotto has a higher quote so the money doesn't matter. I'm sure we'd all like to see him in with PWill and Clottey and whoever, but he's taking a quick road to a title. Hard to blame him after the loss he's coming off of.

Arum wants Margarito to lose thats why he's making these matches he wants there to be some wear and tear on margarito by the time the rematch happens.. he tried to do that in the first fight.. you could see it on Arum's face he was upset when cotto lost to antonio.. marga is a more credible champion than cotto, but he still needs to put in some more work himself if he wants to be great and he needs to man up and fight williams..
