Morales, Barrera, Marquez: Rank them
Collapse
-
morales is ranked higher by mexicans, but the u.s ranks barrera higher(based on career fight vs hamed, which gave barrera fame with barrera, he shut their HBO foulmouthed Hamed up which made Barrera a sympathy great fighter), Morales is above barrera but if Morales is remembered as a greater fighter in mexico than barrera, morales is happier with that than being remembered bigger in the U.S like barrera is

marquez has great skills. better than pacquiao and equal to barrera and morales but his resume is not on par with barrera or morales.
before casamayor recently his best win was medina or gainer.
all those you listed only 2 are official wins and all were 2004 to now. so i guess i was right about you only been watching boxing since 2004......

I like marquez skill over erik and marco but as far as what they accomplished I would list them
Erik
Marco
Jmm
As for skill I think many underrate Erik. He loved to please the crowd so he would brawl intelligently more than he had to but thats why out of the three he has given us the most memorable fights.
One of erik best performance was against ayala. Marco also faced ayala and it was a rather dull fight as marco was just content on keeping ayala at the end of his jab but although he got the stoppage Erik performance against ayala was much more impressive. He totally outclassed ayala but at the same time punished him and made it one of the most entertaining one side fights I ever seen.
The difference between marco and erik as far as boxing skills goes; marco could out box you but thats it take a look at his performance against peden, ayala, and hamed. Erik did not just want to out box you even thou he had the skills too; he wanted to fight.

Erik had the versatile, overpowering right hand as we all know, but his left jab was very sound when he used it and he mixed his punches well when throwing in combination.

a good way of judging a fighter is by losses too.
1. morales - 6 = barrera x2 , pacquiao x2 , diaz x1 , raheem x1
2. barrera - 6 = jones x2 , morales x1 , pacquiao x2 , marquez x1
3. pacquiao - 3 = torrecampo x1 , singsurat x1 , morales x1
4. marquez - 4 = norwood x1 , john x1 , pacquiao x1 and x1 against some nobody in his first fight by dq.
morales' only loss in his prime was to marco.
