Honestly, I thought SSM was gonna beat Cotto but it was a damn close fight. Zab gave Cotto problems and we're talkin Zab had a 1 year lay off. Mayweather deserves more credit and at the time it was the RIGHT thing to do. Cotto is looked at as a "*****" to me...Does he love fightin for Vacant belts?? Paul Williams was READY to fight him c'mon now.

Now Jennings...I'm sure he'll beat him like he did Gomez

give credit to both. both are former junior welterweights fighting good fighters their size or bigger.

it's not like they're sitting on belts waiting for smaller guys that are big names and much better fighters to come up and meet them.

      they're not from philadelphia.

If you want to compare the weight-classes that both fighters shared, Cotto's opposition and resume is much more impressive. This cannot be disputed.

agreed. but cotto has spent his entire career at 140 and 147.

the **** barely moved to 140 in 2004-2005.

              and an old mosley
Floyd beat a guy coming off a loss, and the other guy hasn't made a dent in the boxing world since losing to Floyd.

Q beat Paul Williams after losing to Cotto, and Shane is fighting Margarito next, after KOing Mayorga.

You'd think people would realize this, especially in a time where anyone can pick up a belt.

                I guess not.

This thread/poll reminds me of when i created a poll asking who defeated Zab in a more impressive fashion...Cotto or Floyd. Although it was a landslide win for Cotto, i was amused at the way Floyd's diehards were trying to make the case for him. It was pathetic at best.

Has anyone seen Larryx? He started this poll/thread, but it seems as if he's dissapeared.
