De La Hoya not living in Mexico and having "more opportunities" for living in U.S.A, doesn't make him any less Mexican than Margarito, that's just ******ed to say. All immigrants come to America for a better life, those who choose to stay never loose their heritage and still work hard to earn their keep.

Those who scoff at one of their own for living well and having a very different attitude than their own are drinking too much hatorade! don't hate, congratulate. It's this narrow minded and clanish attitude that belittles Mexicans in the eyes of many, we're better than this ****. This stigma that unless you're always angry and talking **** about anything that's American influenced then you're not Mexican is incredibly ignorant and laughable. Vargas was very good at perpetuating that image of the angry Chicano, he was a supreme idiot and made Mexicans look like dolts.

The point is, you can't be mad at someone because you can't relate to their success, and when it comes to the point where you're going to question their heritage because of it, then you've become a bonafide hater.

On a side note....I bet most of the people talking trash about Hoya's heritage on these forums are young dummies who were born in the states, living in the states and wouldn't have it any other way. So stop the hypocrisy please, you should be better than that.
