It was sad to see him I'm there just taking a beating.. I thought he would give much more.
Every time Joe flurried I thought ROY would counter at least once, but he was too scared and gunshy.. He didn't really make an effort to hit Joe to the body either.. Soo many countering opportunities were there but he just didn't take them.
I just think that it is sad to see a guy I watched my whole life become what he is now.. I felt the same way when i saw the last Arturo Gatti fight.
I appreciate this guys amazing career and he is the best p4p champ ever in the game.. (i didnt say the best fighter ever)
Hes an ATG might I add and the best fighter ive ever had a chance to watch..
Thanks ROY!
I was never Roy's biggest fan, but I thought his performance last night was admirable. He proved the naysayers wrong by showing a lot of heart, despite ultimately being over-matched, sustaining a nasty cut and taking a bit of a pounding. He's had a stellar career, got one last big payday and made it to the final bell, so I hope he has the sense to get out now. More fights like that will prove nothing, save for the risks of fighting too long. Just ask Evander Holyfield.

There are no excuses for Roy. He was magnificent in his recent fight against Trinidad. He was ready for Joe C. And, who really dodged who "back in their primes?" There is much evidence to conclude that Roy could have made that fight...if he had wanted to.
There are no excuses for Roy. He was beaten and beaten soundly. Calzaghe was always the man to beat....and nobody ever has. Calzaghe is going to the Hall of Fame is will be considered one of the best that ever lived, whether you like it or not.

I was saddened by the $60 I spent to watch that non compeitive fight. I think Max Kellerman said it best when he said that theres a difference between good fighters and great fighters. Great fighters have something in them that cant be taught, something that makes them dig deep when the skils they once had that made them a "good" fighter are no longer there for them to use, something in them that at the least, at the very least, makes them throw some punches to give himself a chance to win and become great, I didnt see that in Jones. It was the first time in his career he was facing adversity and he crumpled, went into a defensive shell and was just trying to not get hit by the "pitty pat slaps". Old and shot or not, you can still throw a punch when a guy is completely disrespecting you in the ring by sticking his chin out with his hands down by his knees while your just laying on the ropes covering up. Im a Roy fan but I wont make excuses for him, he took the fight afterall. He needs to stop lying to the public and more importantly he needs to stop lying to himself and retire.

Everybody need to cheer the f*** up........Roy left everything he had left in his boxing soul in the Garden last night .........Roy fought his f****** heart out instead of folding up like he did with Tarver in that 3rd fight. We should be on here honoring Roy for showin' guts while losing the fight and blood. Under the circumstances Roy was fighting under......Joe was supposed to had knocked Roy out .......Roy was there for the takin' and Joe couldn't take him..........that says alot about Roy and even more about the so called beating peeps claimin' Roy took

I think Roy definately gave an effort. and he tryed for sure..
he didnt exactly do what he did in the tarver fight (which he couldve clearly won if he tryed ala round 5)
he shouldve used more movement.. i guess i for once bought into the hype.. i really thought he wouldve beaten calzaghe with a UD..
sry bout the typo
i ment to write 'saddend' not 'sadded'
