    Are American boxing fans panicking?

I'll start off by saying i'm in no way trying to goad or insult anyone here, i'm merely asking something that i feel i have picked up on recently. I'm asking this question in good faith and hope the answers are answered likewise.

I have noticed recently that on this website many Americans being increasingly hostile towards fighter's of different nations (more so than usual). Without mentioning any names it seems even the more knowledgeable are resorting to childish name-calling in an attempt to discredit fighter's from outside of their boarders.

I can't help but notice all of this occurring at a time when American boxing is on a decline. Many of it's biggest stars will be retired in a few years and one of their future hopefulls was exposed as being nothing special the other night (albeit by a fellow countryman).

America will always produce good boxers, but are many Americans growing hostile as they are not used to the prospect of having so little?, Is the realization that boxing is becoming more and more of an international sport a bitter pill for many to swallow? I realize that everything goes in cycles and one day American boxing may once again become the superpower it once was, but are many feeling uneasy about a potential void? I feel i may be asking the wrong people here but i'd be interested to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.

Why are you defending American fighters when you're a little annoying Aussie boy?

It figures. America has the most people in the world.

                * England is about the size of Alabama.
                * Scotland is about the size of South Carolina.
                * Wales is about the size of Massachusetts.

These three countries together make up Great Britain.
