Then thinking he was washed up and shot you chose to fight him.. thinking he was vulnerable enough for you to secure a victory to have the legend on your record. You both know in your hearts that your resume, your history is not legit.. so you sought over the hill legends to add credibility to yours.

Hopkins didnt have the stamina to throw 1000 punches with you and you had the footwork to get in punching range to execute your game plan. Well done.. you won a sparring match against Hopkins while only suffering a knock down.
Styles do make fights. So you and your dad came up with the brilliant idea that you could do the same against Jones Jr. thinking he was washed up. I will admit he is not as good as he once was BUT he still has skills.. a lot more skills than you. Think about it. Hopkins knocked you on your ass in the first round and buzzed you all night with the right hand lead. Jones has more skills than Hopkins and imagine.. a faster much more powerful right hand. Jones is faster than you.. much faster than you and more powerful and more skilled than you. Syles make fights and Jones has the style to embarass you and he still has a lot more skills and ability than you. Picking Jones Jr. was a mistake.
Your not going to outbox Roy Jones Jr.
Put your points where your mouth is then! Common, don't be afraid now, styles make fights.

he's afraid of Hopkins. Hopkins win over Pavlik is far better than JC's win over Hopkins..

Calzaghe doesnt need to fight Hopkins again there is no rational reason other than a couple of Calzaghe haters who want to see this fight.

          Hopkins

I believe that Hopkins brings his true identity to fights he are suppose to lose without a doubt. I showed it during the Trindad, Dela Hoya and now Pavlik. He seem to lack the fire in the Calzaghe fight, in a rematch the Welshman would have his A** handed to him. Com'on Joe show up..that's if you get pass RJJ.

Agreed, and I am no fan of JC's but this fight would be totally unnecessary. A Roy victory however sets up the potential Bhop/Roy rematch.

Paul Williams and Chad Dawson the P4P the best.. just not the right color.

Paul Williams and Chad Dawson the P4P the best.. just not the right color. Why are Cotto and Margarito considered the cream of the crop? Why is Pavlik and Calzaghe conveniently not mentioning Chad Dawson? He just beat Johnson and Tarver. Because they will both ruin all of the other fighters. They have to go the same route as Hopkins did... beat everybodys ass until there is nobody left. This is why Mayweather said HBO is racist.. because you know damn well Williams can beat Margarito (again) and Cotto with ease and Chad Dawson will box Calzaghe's head off. Paul Williams and Chad Dawson the P4P the best.. just not the right color to get anointed by the media.

To bring in the down the middle approach here.

Joe Calzaghe doesn't realize acting like that is bad for him in this climate. He better beat Jones comfortably, because he isn't giving HBO any incentive for favorability if their bout is close, because with potential BIG money in a Jones/Hopkins rematch, he just may draw the short straw with this retirement talk.

Calzaghe is a b!tch for retiring just when things are getting exciting at light HW. he can eat **** and die. RJJ must beat Calzaghe. That is the only way Calzaghe will stay in boxing.

Hopkins/Calzaghe was a very close fight that Calzaghe barely won. There have been rematches where there were less incentive and they were still made.

Since the Pavlik-Hopkins fight I said you can guarantee there would be no rematch between Calzaghe and Hopkins.

Calzaghe doesn't give rematches. He's done it once only, and that was to Mario Veit who was his mandatory challenger.
