I would of liked to see a rematch.

I enjoyed the first fight and it was close so the idea of a second fight is not bad.

I think if Calzaghe wins the only fight he needs to fight is Chad Dawson because he is the king of the light heavy weights then retires...If he loses than he should just retire because there's noone left for him to fight and plus he's boring anyway......I think RJJ will win anyway and set up b-hop-RJJ 2 in feb or march...

How is Calzaghe a B!tch for retiring? Are you telling me that if you had put your body through as much as he had for as long as he has you wouldnt wanna quit? Its not like he needs the income anymore.

And if you hate him so much why do you want him to stay in boxing u idiot?

Joe Calzaghe doesn't realize acting like that is bad for him in this climate. He better beat Jones comfortably, because he isn't giving HBO any incentive for favorability if their bout is close, because with potential BIG money in a Jones/Hopkins rematch, he just may draw the short straw with this retirement talk.
I'll bump this one more, I think it's important for everyone to keep in mind.

Oh, so you know Joe better than Joe himself, I assume? You're in his head controlling his thoughts?

Calzaghe has said he wants to retire since ages ago. Why is it that people can't get the idea into their heads? Calzaghe is past his best and by retiring after the next fight he's doing himself a favor. How hard is it to understand? All we see is "he needs to fight Dawson before he can be considered great", and bull**** comments like that.

Seriously, give the guy a break. You're like a bunch of f**king vultures.

Yeah I agree with you, Jones vs Bhop 2 in 2009.

Calzaghes is just a nothing but full of slaps out there.

So he slapped his way to an undefeated record? Seems pretty impressive to me

Having read the whole thread now I can't think nothing else but some of you guys have seriously twisted, hateful minds. It's not healthy.

Go see a doctor for some pills or get an anger management course and quit your futile, immature ranting.

I'de rather want to see Joe Calzaghe to fight Chad Dwson for his last fight. if he has the balls to pit with dawson. then if that happens then I will agree that Joe Calzaghes is All Time Great or an all time COWARD
