Sad? I wouldnt use sad as a description...I have seen this play out so many times, it is not unexpected anymore...I read the paper in "shock" back in 1980 as a thirteen year old when Ali got stopped by Holmes...I was there at the Garden when Sugar Ray lost to Norris...you see Hearns struggle with guys he most likely would have torched a few years earlier...the diminishment is inevitable...

I know it was the inevitable but it was a sad sight for me.

Thanks for the feedback man, you're all class.

You know what, too....and I don't mean this to sound cold or anything but... it's like with a child.... you have a child, you raise them as an infant, a toddler, a pre-teen, a teen and so on... they will grow up, change, no longer be what they were when they were seven...you expect it and it is easier... I always saw Roy as such a talented, skilled, dynamic boxer... but to feel sadness when I know it is a sure thing that he will not be able to persevere forever would (for me), in a way, be as though I didn't expect it... its part of the game, you have to take the good with the bad and the great with the terrible...everyody has their day and their time...what's that old saying?...

..."Don't be sad that its over...be happy that it happened at all"....

          That's a great analogy.

I never really thought of it like that, thanks a lot John.

Iceman, who is your favourite prospect at the moment?

One of my favourites is James Kirkland, what do you think of him?

Kirkland looks good, sure...but I tell you what... and I said this right AFTER he beat Curtis Stevens and everyone was very, very down on him...I said there was a good reason why he was so careful in that fight and that if you put him in with someone else solid at that weight he will show you a young RJ type of thing...and he did that, especially against Hanshaw. Andre Dirrel is LEGIT, boys
